Skipping pages when reading manga in web viewer

The web interface (which I'm using on chrome on an Android phone) seems to skip pages when reading manga when going from the end of one volume to the next. For example going from the end of chapter 5 (vol 1) of cooking with wild game to chapter 6 (vol 2) takes me to page 29 of the chapter.
This is pretty frustrating and it would be good if it could be fixed. I haven't read any novels in the viewer so can't say whether this happens with them as well.

Did you read the beginning of chapter 6 before? I've found that the viewer takes you to whatever page you were on the last time you viewed a section. That is, if you got to page 29 the last time you viewed the section, by default the viewer will take you to page 29 the next time you view it.
But that's a separate issue from whether it starts their arbitrarily...
