I already bought the year but I noticed the I would rather have the premium after the fact. I was wondering if I could buy the premium instead without paying the full price.

Hello,
It is possible to upgrade from a yearly normal membership to a yearly premium membership.
Per the FAQ page:
Can I upgrade from a normal Membership to a Premium Membership?
Yes!If you go to the subscription page, you will see a list of membership options you may upgrade to. You will be credited with a prorated amount for however much remains on your current membership.
Upgrades are not allowed to plans which would cause a negative balance, like upgrading from a yearly Membership to a monthly Premium Membership.
Sorry but J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing decision or acquisitions.

No, the amount you have already paid will be taken into consideration when you upgrade your membership. you will pay the difference between the two price points less the amount of time your normal membership has already used.

I'd also like to upgrade, but when I tried, I got this error:Payment for this subscription requires additional user action before it can be completed successfully. Payment can be completed using the PaymentIntent associated with
subscription.latest_invoice. Additional information is available here: https://stripe.com/docs/billing/subscriptions/overview#requires-action -
In this situation, it would be best to email support@j-novel.club, that way it can be addressed.
