Happy Halloween!

OH MAN! I AM SO EXCITED!
My first post in the forum, but I'm so happy to see Yume Nikki!
Best Halloween. -
Yay yay. I haven't participated with either game these are based on.
I did watch some of the Ao Oni comedy anime.
-
Excited for some horror novels! Right in time for Halloween too. Yume Nikki brings back memories, excited to read that.
I never played the game or watched the anime, but I'm interested in giving Ao Oni a try.

Horror isn't my cup of tea but it is great to see more genres added for those that enjoy the stuff. J-Novel continues to grow. What an amazing first year for you guys!

Yeah, I hope these do ok so we get more horror / mystery. =]

Definitely not my taste (best horror is Yandere Love). But something different that expands the library here is always nice.

If the series has a Bad Ending with a cheating NTR hero perishing to Yandere, I will take it. If the Yandere gets tamed by the hero into being less harmful, no thank you. xP

@terrence I'll second you on the mystery and leave the horror for your enjoyment.

Nice to see horror/mistery genre licenses, the Ao Oni game actually made me jump a few times but always felt the story was a bit lacking, and I always heard about Yume Nikki but never got around to play it, hope it gets me hooked

@paulnamida Yume Nikki feels to me like a narrative of walking thru a Picasso painting. It's not grabbing me.

That's basically what the game is I think (like a 2D walking simulator). Could be wrong.
I think it goes places, but again, never played it, trying to stay in the dark on it.

@paul-nebeling Honest question: Why Picasso of all things? If I had to pick an artist, I'd personally pick some surrealist one like Dalí. And I really like the story so far, but different folks, different strokes.
-
@jaquobus Dali slipped my mind. Escher came to mind. If Giger had done landscapes...

Love mystery, but I'm more of a suspense guy than horror, myself. But as I said elsewhere, could to have a range of things so. :)
