quick and easy search of volume 1 cover

Alt title: 砂の海のレイメイ, Suna no umi no Reimei

      Author: Ryuu Nakajima
      Artist: PAN:D
      Publisher: Shogakukan (Gagaga)
      Volumes: 1 (released July 2024)

      Synopsis:

Seven different worlds floated in the sky, and civilization sank into the sea of sand.

In a world ruled by the law of the armed forces Strand Fleet, directly under the other world, there was a girl who resisted its control and fought with a drill submarine - her name is Desert Pirate Reimei.

One day, Raymei meets a boy who was frozen asleep in the relics of an old civilization that he robbed from the enemy fleet. His name: "Tsuki Usagi" - The Moon Rabbit - who woke up from a hundred years of sleep, a ninja of the old civilization.

In another era, two paths that were not supposed to intersect and live on conflicting paths. There is no way to know that this encounter will be the spark of a fierce battle involving old civilizations and other worlds.

"I won't allow you to die in a place like this. Get it. I'll make you my husband."

When the pirates seeking freedom and the loyal shinobi join hands, a new day rises in the sea of despair - the story of the end of the century sailing that digs through the sky and digs the ocean, anchored here!

Notes: I learned about this series from a Twitter account I follow - apparently, it’s very similar to Mad Max and Rust-Eater Bisco. It also was good enough to win the 18th annual Shogakukan LN award. I know that, as a Gagaga title, it’s not exactly likely to get a JNC license due to their requests for physical releases, but still throwing it out there just for the sake of it
