Omae wo Otaku ni Shiteyaru kara, Ore wo Riajuu ni Shitekure!

Another Kadakowa title
I just feel like talking about these right now~Publisher:Fujimi Fantasia Bunko (Fujimi Shobo)
Status: 16 volumes (Main storyline finished at Vol 10 and the rest are after-stories)Kashiwada Naoki is closet otaku.
After hearing how girls bad-mouthed him behind his back including his crush, he decided to go all secretive about his hobbies. One day, the bishoujo, loli-like gyaru Koigasaki Momo found this truth by mistake.
Here's the catch.
Momo loves the handsome Suzuki, who turns out to be a huge Otaku.
Like he's devoted, man.
3DP are Sh*t and 2D Lolis #FTW man~So, here they agree to help each other:
Noaki teaches Momo how to be Otaku and Momo teaches him how to be Riajuu and get closer to his crush. What I love about this series:
-How embarrassing MC is, he makes many mistakes that are based on author's dark history.
Man, I almost shouted at the guy, "no, no, nooo, nooooo, don't do that" while laughing.
-How self aware the series is.
In the very 1st volume, MC mentioned the trope of people who help each other fall for each other (like Toradora) and they said they will be an exception. -
This does seem like one of those typical LN about Non-otaku and otaku. but we do not really have any series like that so you have my up-vote. also it is complete too witch is a big plus in my books.
-
SoL, Romance and Comedy are what I’m most interested in now because I have so much good stuff in action already to read - so it gets my vote. I like that otaku/non trope too so double points

Can we please have it required to mention the English translated title at least somewhere in these submissions?

Some things don't have easily translated English titles, so they just keep the Romaji, even on Novel databases.
The title I got for this one from running the Romaji through Google Translate was:
"I will make you a geek, so please leave me all over" (...yeah).
-
@bloodygaikotsu I'm reading this thinking "this sounds like Toradora for otaku and then you mention they're aware of the trope.
This ticks a lot of boxes for me, like @the-green-death listed.

This is not one of those cases. "I'll Make You an Otaku, so Please Make Me Popular!" is a pretty low-effort translation of the title but it still is almost flawless as far as translations go.
-
The novel databases don't use that as the lead title (it's hidden under "other titles"). I dunno why. Just isn't popular?
Most of them aren't translating Riajuu to "popular person / popular" either, they're just keeping the Romaji for Riajuu and Otaku. Novel Updates translates Riajuu as "normal person" for the English version of the title.
I'd definitely prefer to have English titles, but it also makes it more likely for us to get repeat threads if people are searching for the more popular Romaji, seeing no threads, and posting a new thread. I never typically pay attention to the Romaji, don't usually use it myself, so I know this'll happen to me in the reverse (searching for the English / Japanese characters and seeing nothing) and to others with my use of English titles.
-
Probably because there's no official English title. Anyway, I was just responding to your specific statement, about "easily translated English titles." Yes, a lot of titles have wordplay or are weirdly long because Japanese allows crazy run-on sentences, but this one is not one of those. "Riajuu" might have some debatable options, but, as far as overall translation complexity goes, it's extremely straightforward.
-
I usually write the English title if it exists and people actually use it, like "The Tatami Galaxy" where people are more used to English title.
But, in some cases, Romaji titles are used more like with Kuuchuu Buranko or here (since there's no official or fan-translation translation of the title)
Some of the titles I requested have no English translation at all.
So, to mention English title, I have to translate it myself, but you will never it such translation on any other database site.Basically, it's case by case thing, I guess

Spotlight time! A friendly bump to an older post that hasn't had any recent conversation and is lower on votes in order to draw attention to it.
-
Yeah, this is interesting enough for me to give an upvote. Being complete at 10 + 6 volumes is a nice plus. Kind of curious what the after stories are like; I like the idea of throwing a couple of extra stories after completing the main storyline.
(On a side note, for license suggestions I'm keeping a spreadsheet to track what I want licensed, and for that, unless there is an official English version available I prefer to use romanji titles, since they are the most "official" title available. English titles can help in describing what the book is about, though; ideally a suggestion thread would have both.)

Recently, J-Novel licensed and released the author Murakami Rin's https://j-novel.club/series/guide-to-the-perfect-otaku-girlfriend-roomies-and-romance volume 1, so I wanted to draw attention back to this older work.
Why It Should Get Picked Up:
IMO, this is an underrated gem of a series that was dropped, and I wanted to make a post so a willing translator might pick it up again. It's a romantic comedy/drama set in a normal high school and story-wise reminds me of a mix between "Toradora" and "Bottom-Tier Tomozaki".From the 4+ volumes I've read so far, I think it's a heartfelt and sweet series that is underappreciated and very enjoyable for those who like coming-of-age school-life stories with themes of romance and friendship.
Description:
The plot follows a male otaku MC and female riajuu FMC, but the two like others who are out of their league. The MC likes a certain girl but is too shy and socially awkward to get close to her, while the FMC likes a different otaku guy but cannot relate to him or talk to him since she isn't an otaku herself. The story progresses with the MC and FMC forming an unlikely partnership, teaching each other about their respective worlds and providing opportunities to help the other get closer to their high school crush.
Why I Personally Like the Series:
My favorite aspect is the partnership between the two leads, which actually reminds me of the partnership in "Toradora" with Ryuuji and Taiga helping each other with their respective crushes. There's a lot of times when one feels down or depressed or feels despair at a failure, but the other helps comfort/assist them, which I found really sweet and wholesome.I also enjoy the growth of the main character so far. He starts out as a bit of a loser and loner but gradually improves socially just like in "Bottom Tier Tomozaki", trying to go out to more events and talk more socially in groups. Even though he's still awkward and out of place, you can see his gradual shifts and change of perspective really well so far.
The characters are also enjoyable. I liked the personalities of their respective crushes as well as certain side characters; most characters clearly have a lot more to be revealed about them, and it's very interesting to see the interactions of the MC and FMC with others outside their comfort zone.
