Spotlight time! A friendly bump to an older post that hasn't had any recent conversation and is lower on votes in order to draw attention to it.
-
If you look at the novel updates you will discover that all of the light novels has been translated by either baka-tsku or bakapervert.

read this a while ago on BT
would like to see it licensed. (The translation of the last volume was off somehow- or it was written weird)
would this be a case where something in a publisher's backlist would be easier/cheaper to obtain? I know this has been out for a while/ is complete and the fan translation is out there - maybe a 'lower risk' opportunity to secure a title from media factory? or try out a newer translator? -

My impression is that a 14-volume series (quite long) that's older, with no anime boosting its recognition, just another variation on the harem-battle-fantasy, and fully fan-translated, unless the fan TL can be salvaged, seems extremely unlikely to get picked up.

As much as I would like this, it's pretty much softcore porn. Add the length, the lack of an anime adaptation and the already finished fan translation, this seems pretty much impossible.

I want this licensed. Read some of the manga recently and it made me feel nostalgic for the LN. Would love to be able to own the Light Novel officially in English. A lot of series use the battle magic academy setting but I feel like few of them really ever actually explore the setting beyond "look at all these super powers fight."
Magika no Kenshi I feel really made the setting entertaining by personifying the various Gods and exploring their relationships and building an entertaining romance series (with action) out of it. The characters are all really interesting and the author does a good job of managing the politics in this strange world where Gods possess people and grant them powers.
So yea, license please.

I love this series and would be happy to see it licensed, but I have to agree that the complete fan translation and lack of a anime make that quite unlikely to happen.

@lex the manga is still going strong, which is quite rare given that the LN is already finished and how long it's been goin on for. Unless they just cancel it once they end with the Japan arc, I wouldn't can the idea of an anime adaptation just yet. Specially with how risque anime has been these past few years, it's like now is the perfect time for a Magika adaptation.
-
It's still ongoing? I was under the impression it ended...but I'm probably confusing it with Rakudai Kishi no Eyuutan. Needless to say, I'd love to see an anime adaptation.
-
@lex The manga adaptation is ongoing. The Light Novel is completed.
-
Yeah I know, I was referring to the manga adaptations for both series.
-
JNC could use a smutty license considering how they're caught up with How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord.
