Title: Isekai Cheat Survival Meshi
Title (JP): 異世界チートサバイバル飯
Links: MAL | BookwalkerPublisher: Fujimi Shobo (Kadokawa)
Label: Fujimi Fantasia Bunko
Author: Kakkaku Akashi
Illustrator: Touzai
Book count: 5 (complete)Synopsis:
Kazusa Yuu, a Japanese high school student interested in food and camping, dies in a traffic accident and ends up reincarnated in the wilderness of another world. He must now put his survival skills to the test. Good thing he seems to have gained a new power – acquiring the unique abilities of whatever he consumes. Time to see what delicacies this new world has to offer.Eat! Grow strong! Then eat some more! Maybe rescue an injured girl and have wholesome dinners together? Sounds good. There’s another lost girl in there, too? The more the merrier!
Why?
Seems to be a fairly short adventure story with wholesome character interactions. The MC is passionate about his hobbies and the girls are adorable.
It’s only 5 volumes long, and it’s an isekai. This’ll probably sell in the current market, right?The manga adaptation’s been pretty good from what I’ve read so far, so I decided to make this topic.

@DoubleMangekyo
Something you need to be aware of: JNC is death on links to NU. Seeing as it's main purpose is linking to Fan Translations, which by definition are violations of IP rights... and JNC being a licensed publisher.
It's the little things that could be detrimental to licensing negotiations, is one way to consider it.So it might be good to remove that link before the post gets removed.

They won't remove the post, just the link. Same as they always do. In fact, Rahul already did remove it.
(I won't get into the "intellectual property discussion," other than to say it unfortunately isn't quite that simple)

@piisfun
I wasn't sure what level of control the forum software allowed the mods, whether they could go in and excise a link; in retrospect I think I do remember instances where I was aware they had done similar stuff, but my memory is fallible these days.
The rational I presented was a gross over-simplification, but tossing out something seemed a nice thing as to indicate it wasn't an arbitrary decision on JNC's part; there are good and valid reasons for their not wanting links to NU and similar sites showing up.
As to the suggested story...
You are what you eat can be developed in so many different ways, so I'll admit to some curiosity as to how it gets handled here.

@Weasalopes It's just them editing the post the same way the poster can edit the post, I don't think the staff normally blow away the entire post unless the NU link is almost the only content. That this is a fairly well written post other than the link means just editing the link out would probably be more appropriate.
Anyway I've seen this series in manga form and it certainly opens up interesting enough, it's honestly not really a premise I'd seen before. I'd mostly be worried this will fall into the issue I have with a number of series that open with a somewhat unique take, that the story starts of strong and interesting, but starts to devolve into somewhat repetitive and boring content as the story progresses. It's a huge problem in these types of scenarios where the protag has unlimited potential and it's very easy for authors to fall into a pitfall cycle where the MC fights a new and more powerful monster only to get powered up through it.

Ah.
You haven't read Arifureta or Failure Frame.
There are some others as well.
What would make it different this time is that normally the skill shows up after a betrayal dumps you in a Dungeon of No Return where you eat your way to strength, and it gets tied into a Revenge Quest scenario.
This one sounds rather more peaceful.
