@rmkelly I've been watching the anime this season, and it's so good! Would love to read this

Whoawhoawhoawhoa. Are you telling me this is a food-based isekai... that DOESN'T focus around how delicious Japanese cuisine is?

Sign me the fuck up.

it's honestly not really a premise I'd seen before.

Ah.
You haven't read Arifureta or Failure Frame.
There are some others as well.
What would make it different this time is that normally the skill shows up after a betrayal dumps you in a Dungeon of No Return where you eat your way to strength, and it gets tied into a Revenge Quest scenario.
This one sounds rather more peaceful.

@terabyte I added extra stuff, so feel free to take another look

I have to agree, the cover art is wondrous.
If the story is of similar quality I'd be interested, yes.

Quite a weird series. It started as a silly and light-hearted read, but oh boy does it get dark occasionally later on.
While having below average quality of the prose, it is surprisingly well thought-out thematically, being one of the few series where "no killing" policy actually does make sense narratively. It also has a whiff of persian mythology, which is pretty rare in LNs.

It is also complete at 6 volumes, reaching intended stopping point.
