volume 1 - if it doesn’t load it’s because it uses a webp for some godforsaken reason
Alt titles: 英雄その後のセカンドライフ しかし子供に料理を振る舞うのは楽しいかもな, Eiyū Sonogo no Second Life: Shikashi Kodomo ni Ryо̄ri wo Furumau no wa Tanoshii kamo na
      Author: Yūri Shibamura (Marginal Operation)
Illustrator: Yoshinori Shizuma (Marginal Operation, The Misfit of Demon Academy)
      Publisher: Kadokawa
Volumes: 2 (latest released Sep 2024)

      Synopsis (MTL’d):

The legendary genius naval admiral is now the cook of the elf's academy!?

Sirenzio Agata, an essential hero who is said to be the "Treasured Sword of Alba". His legendary military career, in which he defeated numerous strong enemies as a naval admiral, came to an end with a notice from his home country Alba to "retire and become a nobleman". Cirenzio was ordered to study abroad at the military academy of the neighboring Kingdom of Ruth as a condition for becoming a nobleman. On the way, he saved the life of a feather fairy on a whim, and when he finally arrived at his study abroad destination, he discovered that due to a clerical error it was actually a school for elf children! An old man who becomes a classmate of toddlers, the unexpected situation is blowing everywhere. Cirenzio immediately grabs the stomachs of the elven boys and girls, such as cooking for the girl Thetis, who has become friends with him. This is the story of a "legend" who, ignoring adults who are swayed by his position, cooking to his little friends at will, and enjoying school life after the battle was won.

Comments: I’ll be honest, I saw a news article about how it’s getting a manga adaptation and my thought process was “oh cool, another Narou manga” -> “wait, this is from the Marginal Operation dudes?”

The premise seems pretty basic - a veteran soldier accidentally gets sent to an elf school and decides to start working there as a cook. It definitely feels like the “taking care of children” thing that MO did, but hopefully less iffy.
