      Synopsis:

The protagonist, Inaka Yuuji, was ran over by a truck because his awareness was dulled from overworking.

“Ahー, with this I don’t have to work so much anymore. I want to spend my next life leisurely……” was the wish Yuuji blurted out, He met God and it was decided he will be reincarnated in the countryside of the other world. He became Alfred Slowlet, 2nd son of a countryside noble, will he be able to enjoy and leisurely spend his slow life in the countryside?

      Why:

I have been reading the fan-scanlated manga adaptation for a while and it's really just a relaxing series. The protagonist isn't really wrapped up in any sort of conflict and just spends his days as the child he's become where he wanders the village, creates food, entertainment, and just relaxes most of all.

He has become the second son of a noble where he keeps his magic talent mostly hidden and does his best to avoid sword training. His older brother is only just a bit older than him with his sister being the oldest in the group and being the muscle-head. It's a fun family dynamic where he will just try to avoid his sister that wants to train with him or when he teases his own parents at times. It's overall just such a relaxing series without a hint of stress or even really much action. I think we can all just do with a relaxing series every now and then.

A new volume (8th) came out this month. Would be nice if they used volume numbers. Would make it easier to track down new volumes.

Volume 9 for this came out back in October apparently. So here's the obligatory cover bump.

Huh, never heard of that publisher before but apparently it's the same one as Sound! Euphonium. Given Yen Press is the only one to have gotten anything from them (and Yen's inability/uninterest to license beyond volume 1 of Euphonium), it doesn't look good for this LN.

Sound♪ Euphonium & Yen Press is a sore spot within the Fandom, but even as a member of said Fandom I have to wonder how well it sold; Yen may have had sound economic reasons to not publish additional volumes.
                          It's pretty durn niche.
SoL of a high school marching band with nothing smacking of unreality.
Kono Oto Tomare!: Sounds of Life has more angst. [And hasn't been licensed by anyone that I'm aware of... sigh]
Mashiro no Oto [Those Snow White Notes], licensed by Kodansha, had eight volumes published in very short order leading into the anime being released, and nothing since with 29 volumes released in Japan... and potentially wider appeal due to some weird as kiz character dynamics.

This is fairly niche itself, but it's a different niche. A couple of different niches.
It'll pull the isekai/tensei crowd, the SloLife crowd, the 'cute kid' crowd... OK, they all need to be able to deal with the other aspects than their specific appeal, but still I'd argue wider appeal.

                          All of that aside...
Looking at the MTL of the Japanese Wikipedia sites covering different aspects of the firm (what's in the English Wikipedia pales in comparison), I could see their being more problematic to negotiate with for a variety of reasons.
They're kinda funky, and there have been controversies concerning them; not as a publisher per se, but some of their PR decisions have been... questionable.
Although even as a publisher they're kinda odd.

Caught up on the manga adaptation recently. Really continues to be such an enjoyable slow-life series. Would love to get the LN licensed.

16 novels and from the illustrations the protagonist has barely aged? not my general cup of tea. But if the story is engaging, it is still something I would read.

@sorvani It is a slow life story, so it's hard to say how much time has supposedly passed in 16 volumes by the images alone.

I've been following the manga rendition of this story and it seems to be reasonably good, though I don't quite like how the MC's family seems to bully him so much.

I simply prefer stories where time passes and characters actually grow.
