      Otherwise,
When the Water Surface of the Sea of Tanami Shakes
Like below, from Publisher TO books again - TOブックスノベル.

This being probably the most esteemed and elaborate within the historical category, it features a fairly true to account narration of the events transpiring throughout the era of Muromachi's Shogunate, 1550, Sengoku Japan.
An era which, collectively, for all the (in)fame(y) it has seen, what with all those games, the manga, anime... when it comes to licensed novels, sadly, they're few and far between.
And so, maybe that can change with the acquisition of the genres titular flagship.

Addendum: with a success of 2 million copies sold, the author has been writing a complementary gaiden to the series and a spinoff -
"A Different Tale of the Sea of Omi -"
It has also thus far received 5 Drama CDs.

      Some covers-

I’ve actually purchased a few of the JP raws for this series due to the interesting (historical) premise, from what I could make of the blurb. But unfortunately it sits in my Bookwalker reader’s bookshelf as mere display items since I can’t actually read the contents in Japanese.

Stories set in historical eras in Japan would be something I’m interested in.
