Yes this is a food series and from what I've seen the manga is very much what you'd expect from a decently capable protag running around enjoying his isekai slow country life adventure while everyone else is left scrambling for damage control.

The LN seems to be stalled since there's only 2 volumes out, but the author is still updating their syosetu and has over a thousand chapters. Vol 4 of the manga just came out and it seems serialization is continuing, albeit with a sort of inconsistent schedule it looks like.
