The plot centers on the magician-dispatch service and Mage's Society: Astral. The main protagonist of the story is Astral's second president: Itsuki Iba, who, although he is young and inexperienced, ironically is not even a mage. Central to the story are Astral's many adventures with magical spirits and creatures, competing with rival company Goetia, rogue members, taboos and the Dark Magician's Society: Ophion, all while trying to complete enough jobs to pay the bills and fill The Association's quota and evade abolition. Each story arc is written as an incident in which the Astral members and their associates are involved. Why
J-Novel Club has had a lot of success picking up older titles, so this came to my mind today as I was browsing this thread. The series had a decent anime sometime ago, and the plot seemed quite interesting. I think this title would make a great addition to J-Novel Club library. -
I watched the anime quite a lot ago, but the only thing I can clearly recall about it is that it was a mess because the (chronological) order of the episodes was not the broadcast order. Watching it was bad enough and I only found out about it later on.

I’m down for some urban fantasy!

I'd love to see more urban fantasy get translated.

Define "success".

@doublemangekyo you are in my mind, I saw that written before and I had the same exact thought.

The anime had its moments but it was a little annoying how the MC was comic relief much of the time, except when he used his self-destroying ultimate power.
I'd rather read about someone competent or at least heading in that direction than a good-hearted bumbler.

Thanks for the link I forgot that one. As for success, Orphen and Full Metal Panic seemed to have been well received.

The MC improves over time from what little spoilers I've read.

Not to burst your bubble but Orphen is not doing well (sales wise) at all.
Looking at the amazon sales of FMP it is also not selling a lot, however that could be due to the fact that FMP is already announced to receive a print release so less people will buy the digital release...
-
@starfall Orphen isn't selling well. And unless the upcoming anime brings in enough new buyers, it will continue to not make money.
-
@starfall Yup I really appreciate it been Licenced...
-
Really appreciate if it licensed...
