Why?
I remember this LN being posted/mentioned several times in the previous requests topic (and not only there). It is supposed to have some world building (like Realist Hero), and there are also the usual harem and comedy going on. The series is from Hobby Japan, already up to 18 volumes so far and still ongoing. I have also checked out the manga fan-translated chapters and it seems it could be interesting to read. Unfortunately the LN itself has only the first chapter fan-translated, as it was dropped, so there's not much to check out there to see if it's interesting (at least for those that don't understand a thing of Japanese like me lol). -
I also want this one. I've read the manga adaptation for what's scanlated and it's very cute with the flirting. It's like Realist Hero Lite with a bunch of cute monster girls. So yes, please license this Sam. <3
-
Yeah I would like to get this one as well, I’ve read what’s been released of the manga and enjoyed it.
-
I thought this Undead Adventurer hint a while back was this one.
I heard someone say it isn't good, but taste is fairly subjective, and this one has a lot of volumes already, so I don't want to close the book on it yet. I think "Me A Genius" fills a bit of the Comedy void lost from "My Big Sis Lives In a Fantasy World" completing, but the Genius LN only has 3 volumes, so we could use another big cast comedy type series, especially a monster gal one.
-
The sentiment of "isn't that good" is because the protagonist doesn't do anything interesting, it's literally "hey, I have contemporary common sense, maybe don't be racist?" and that results in "WHOOOAAA HE'S NOT RACIST, NOW EVERYONE CAN BE HAPPY!!! You are the new lord!" It's just really questionable writing.
EDIT: At least that was how the manga portrayed it. Always possible it was done poorly.
-
@myskaros Maybe that's what happens only near the start? If the whole thing is like that I doubt it would have reached 13 volumes. Or have you read/checked the other volumes ahead perhaps?
-
@terabyte I mean, the second "problem" for the hero to solve is
Again, maybe the LN does it better, but it's equally possible "hot girls drawn by hentai artist and the plot isn't so bad that I can't read it!"
To be clear, I'm not telling anyone to not support this book, I'm just clarifying Terrence's "someone said it's not good" part (I wasn't the one who said that originally, but I don't necessarily disagree).
-
If I'm not mistaken, there's a deus ex machina thing with how Spirits influence everyday lives. There's world building, but it was really weird. I agree with @myskaros. But on the other hand, I also have to admit that the female characters are really, really attractive.
As a counterpoint, I think someone once said that the manga is actually quite different from the novels.
The buddy character who gets summoned with the MC in the manga doesn't exist in the original novel, for example.*editedI think I'll just trust the editors' judgment on this one.

@shrike_al
The friend definitely exists in the Light Novel. -

Might want to add kingdom management as a tag. Although I guess that's too long. So perhaps Management is enough to get the point across?
-
@aruseus493 Yeah, that was too long. I added Management as you said instead.

Which is prefectly fine for me!!! (I love Goban xD)
Guilty pleasures aside, what grabbed me for this series is the MC's best friend. From what I could gather in forums and the illustrations, he ends up warming up to this world and even gets a non-unrequitted love interest. Which is as rare as it gets for supporting male characters in harem series.
#SunoharaDidNothingWrong
That aside, sexy time with monster girls is always a plus.

Spotlight time! Long story short, I'm trying to bring attention to license request posts that are older, haven't had any recent conversation, and are lower on votes.
If you have read this particular series or even if you haven't but want to see it licensed, make your pitch.
-
@myskaros That is a very loose interpretation of what happened with the rich girl. I read this recently and it went more like this:
A strong anti-racism message is not a problem with me. The question is would you enjoy it? I am sure you would not from what you said Myskaros but I think I would enjoy it.

This topic got quite a few upvotes after the bump 😎
-
Yes! I would absolutely read this!
-
Volume 14 for this series is coming out tomorrow it seems. Just saw it on discord.
-
I would read this if it was licensed, I don't really know too much about it other than a few chapters of the manga I read but it seems like a good read. (hopefully the LN introduces and builds up the world and characters better than the first couple chapters of the manga).

I've suggested this title in the past on surveys, I'd be very happy to buy this if it came out in english. The art looks great, it has cute monstergirls and the artist Goban is one of my favorites. He has done a lot of H work so it would be nice if we could buy a more mainstream light novel title featuring his artwork. I'd also be happy to buy the manga adaptation.
