Slave Harem in the Labyrinth of the Other World

sekai Meikyuu De Dorei Harem wo
A man was about to commit suicide and decided to search for a way to die on the internet, but then he found an odd site that asked a lot of questions and had a point based system that allows you to create skills for a character. He took interest in it, and when he was done setting his character, he was asked, “You will now be transported to a world with the settings you chose. Coming back is not possible. Do you still accept?” Without thinking much of it, he pressed YES and found himself in another world with the skills he chose to have.
We only have one LN where the MC has Sexual Shenanigans with his Female companions. This series certainly has that but it is not just that, it is also a Dungeon crawler type of series as well. JNC already got How NOT to Summon a Demon Lord so I dont think this should be any problem.

The problem with this author is that he's extremely slow. The WN translation is caught up, and new (WN - so short) chapters are released only every few months...
If I remember right, almost all the current WN chapters are already published as LN volumes. That means there will be no material for a new volume for several months, if not years, sadly...
-
@terabyte well I am more interested in the other two I just recommended (Hello Work, Skill Taker) so it's not a huge loss, especially if the WN translation is caught up.

well, I would still really like to see this get an official English Translation even if this does not have the fastest of releases. Just having an official translation will make me happy and if this does not sell well; It does have an extremely slow release so it should not be a huge problem after getting fully caught up.

Ah, this is actually a pretty good story. Once I had it discovered, read all of the available WN chapters in matter of days. Including loss of sleep and all (work was such a hassle that day). It has been 8 month since WN update, it seems that author has shifted focus on getting LN out the door.
Basically a guy set's up a character profile with various skills assuming he is making a player character for the game, but instead gets transported to an RPG like world. In the world, there are Labyrinth, some sort of magical creatures that exist to feed on humans by luring them in with prospect of riches. Once an adventure dies in the labyrinth, it become consumed by it. If nobody enters the labyrinth and slays monsters, labyrinth end up overflowing and sending raiding parties. Once you get to the last floor and kill the final boss, the labyrinth will collapse and disappear. Basically, everyone is leaving in a constant struggle against this sort of parasite. Everyone has jobs and skills, but MC have way more skills and able to have multiple jobs at the same time. Including skill to grow at accelerated speed and reset skills at will He quickly realises that if people find out what he is capable of, he will be in the world of trouble. In order to make a living from labyrinth and have reasonable margin of safety, you need a party. But if he parties with others, he might end up being at their mercy one day. Unless they are slaves, slaves are bound to their master and are incapable of betraying him. In addition, some slaves are sold with condition that they are willing to attend to their masters nightly needs. What sane person would not build a harem?
The story is pretty nice, progressing at a relatively good pace meanwhile building relashionship between the characters in a heartwarming fashion. Its has a sexual theme to it, but not too detailed, manga on the other hand takes it a step further. I would love to see an English release of it.
Note that LN adaptation dropped Sex from its title.
On a side note, the setting of Growth Cheat and Harem in the Labyrinth of the other world are very similar. But I would say that Harem has more of a serious theme compared to Growth Cheat.
Both are great though, pick them both! -
This one is probably one of my least favorite isekai in recent memory.
-
@galactuskahn24 You should check out manga, it is rather well drawn.
-
If only the WN or LN would progress faster.
OK let's try this out. Oh I got this result. Then how about I try now 2 spells. Ok, then how about I change my job to this.
I would like the story more if it would not drag itself out. Jesus. If I recall correctly we needed till chapter 30 to see his first companion. Till then it was purely his "trying" out.
-
I dropped the manga of this because I was too disgusted by the protagonist's behaviour/attitude. I'd rather that JNC didn't license this.
-
I don’t really want it either, but what skin is it off your nose if they do license it? If you don’t want to read it or buy it don’t.
-
@guspaz yeah from what I remember the MC is kind of ... Well I find it much better then most MCs we have. I say it is better to have a protagonist you hate then one you just do not care for. Opposite of passion(ex. Love and Hate) is indifference and I rather feel passionate about the MC than indifference.

It means they'll have less staff and money to license other things he does want.
-
Yeah, JNC currently has bottlenecks on how many series they can license, so getting this series would be one less good series that they can get... But on top of that, this one is so objectionable that I think it might hurt the company's reputation. NL+'s indirect references were nowhere near as bad as

NL+'s indirect references were nowhere near as bad as a protagonist who directly murders people in cold blood in order to get the cash so that he can rape a sex slave whenever he wants.
I disagree, what you are comparing is kinda like apples and oranges. Though I know nothing of this series, the problem with NL+ was views expressed in reality and reflected in the novels. Assumingly this author/series has no known similar issues and is (until proven otherwise) completely fictional.
-
@guspaz I haven't looked at the manga yet, but I did take a look at the WN translation a while back and I don't recall anything like that in it. Is the manga different from the WN (LN?) then?
-
@guspaz i feel like the bit in that spoiler tag is inaccurate. Mothers basement has a video on how not to summon a demon lord and one point he brings up is fun. The creators, the characters, and the audience (readers in this case) all must have fun. The characters from what I remember do have fun, now obviously you did not but I would not say he rapes the slave.
-
Demon load was definitely all in good taste, but at the point where I dropped the manga, it certainly didn't feel like that. It felt like the protagonist was just a sociopathic pervert who was willing to do terrible things to satisfy his own desires.
-
@terabyte I have looked at both the WN and Manga, and I believe he is interpreting one situation that happens both that way. It is his right to interpret it that way though.
I believe the incident Guzpaz is referring to is:
Personally, I have tried to avoid posting "please don't translate this" or anything else to discourage the translation of a novel in any of the suggestions where I definitely don't want to read the book because I don't want to rain on other people's parade. Different people like different things and J-Novel translates enough books I do want to read that I am no longer able to keep up with every series I want to read. The only discouragement I try to give in those licensing suggestions is not clicking on the up arrow. Granted there is one series I have been very tempted to write about how the protagonist is a cesspool of humanity and I have had to stop myself multiple times.
-
The novel does start quite slow, but that is part of the charm of isekai, you learn about the world along with the main character.
@guspaz You never actually read the series at all, did you? There really was never any rape involved in this series, at least not in WN. Manga skipped a lot of things from WN.
- All owners must provide bare minimum necessity for their slaves.
- If owner is mistreating a slave, they may lose right to ownership.
- There is an organisation where slaves can run off to to take shelter. While sheltering runaway slaves, said organisation is rising funds to buy their freedom from donations.
- Some slaves AGREE to attend to their masters nightly needs. If a slave is sold without that agreement, they can still sleep with their master, but there is a chance to fall into a honey trap. Aka, get seduced by a slave, then she would prohibit you from touching her unless you do X for her.
What is wrong with killing bandits? I mean, if you are a bandit, you have already killed a fair amount of people before your job switched from Villager to bandit. Bandits are not nice people.
Honestly, aside from some coercion, all 5 of the slaves slept with MC willingly, no rape involved. But people are free to believe whatever they want.
-
Gosh, with Guspaz logic someone like Geralt would be a devil's incarnate. How dare he kill those bandits in cold blood! How could he pay for sex!?
