Synopsis:
Balud Cornelius is the son of a noble of the Mauricia kingdom and inside him also dwell the souls of the niggardly warring states commander Oka Sadatoshi and animal ear otaku high schooler Oka Masaharu. With these 3 souls in a single body, he can exhibit extraordinary abilities when it comes to combat or managing the domain. Why:
This is a fun Isekai series. The obligatory twist as mentioned in the synopsis is that there are 3 protagonists which all share a body and blend together. You have the battle-loving Oka Sadatoshi who loves battle and money. Oka Masaharu is a trivia fanatic otaku that always seems well prepared with modern knowledge and how to apply it. Then there's the main protagonist Balud who is heavily influenced by the previous two. This series features a lot of Balud applying modern knowledge into making wealth as he lives as the son of the local nobility. It features his slice of life with the main heroines, a maid and animal ear merchant who are both constantly at odds with each other over him. With great innovation also comes conflict from the neighboring country and others within which leads to Balud getting into fights of life and death too. With a political story relating to nobility and everything, it's a really cool series I would love to read the LN for.For anyone interested in testing the waters, the manga adaptation of the light novel is actively scanlated with 34 chapters currently out. It's a manga I've read numerous times because it's so much fun.
-
this seems kinda like that one with the MC who has 2 people in control of the same body.
-
@drone205 Which one are you talking about? Cause you might actually be thinking about this one.
-
@aruseus493 It is not this one, this one has three people in one body while the one I am the one I am thinking of has two. It has been on the Top Ten LN in Japan list before.
It think MC saves two girls who are royalty or something like that.
-
I think I know the one Drone is talking about. Iirc, the MC has white hair.. like this guy. But he looks more youthful.
-
@drone205 No idea then off the top of my head.
-
@aruseus493 I found it: Seirei Gensouki
-
well back to the recommended title, I think having the MC be multiple people controlling the body could be very interesting.
-
Nice timing, I was actually checking out the manga last week and I found it really interesting with the MC having 3 souls in one body. You've got another vote ;)
-
Three wildly different protagonists for the price of one, in a slice of life type story with some love triangle aspects? Yep, sold.
-
I’m pretty surprised no one has picked this one up yet. I have read the manga twice now it is a fun read an great story and is very popular in Japan
-
@ant13099 It's not surprising it hasn't been picked up given that the publisher is Alphapolis; no Western light novel licensor has been able to license any of their works.
-
@stardf29 well that's a shame as I said the manga is super enjoyable and I would have loved to read the ln series
It is kind of odd that a company would not want to expand its readership into to new markets but o well guess I'll just have to be content with the manga -
Volume 14 came out last month~ Not gonna post the cover as it seems pretty spoiler-y.
-
AlphaPolis... 😩
-
@terabyte I’m really at a loss as to why that company alphapolis wont license any thing
I mean it’s a bit odd that a company would not want to increase its reader ship and revenue
-
I thought AlphaPolis was one of the companies that said they weren't interested in licensing any digital only releases. I could have sworn that AlphaPolis had some light novels of theirs licensed but not by J-Novel.
-
@malloc said in Isekai Tensei Soudouki:

They've licensed out some manga, but I'm pretty sure none of their light novels, at least none I've heard of.
-
@malloc Nope, they don't wanna license any novels period.
7S & Sekai Project managed to nab 1 manga title each (RE:Monster & Gate Manga respectively) but that is all we saw.
Also i won't get into it but there are rumors that Sekai Project's abysmal handling of the Gate manga is what led them to not wanting to licence their property. Again just unfounded rumors.

That makes me just sad... there are several Alpha Polis light novels I really want to read. Guess I really need to start focusing on brushing up on my Japanese if I ever want to read them. My Japanese isn't good enough to relax while reading a light novel. Bookwalker sells quite a few of their light novels in Japanese.
