Novel pick-up requests

@Hakomari That is ok. For me no prob, if it will end with just one girl. But still, more = better :D
-
As far as Kodansha goes, maybe you guys can rescue the Kara no Kyokai license.
Go on then. It's only a cult classic 7 movie series by ufotable and all. -
@Catscope Ohh my that will be good too. I really like the anime. And I read LN on the BT, but it is not finished there.
-
Now kodansha is on board, what title do you think will be good for acquisition? perhaps a more lesser known title, or strategy war like Madan? Is there any? My personal wish is for j novel to get kanojo wa flag no oratera....(who's with me...!!!!), oh and outbreak company
-
@Catscope Kara no Kyoukai would be great! I'm sure it's in a difficult situation though because Kara no Kyoukai was previously licensed by Del Rey and all their licences were transferred to Kodansha USA so it might not be possible.
The only light novels I'd want to request are ones that aren't really feasible. That said, I'll happily try out most series as long as I can read them on my lunch break at work or on the train so titles with less or no fanservice like Faraway Paladin and Grimgar are my preference.
-
@raddevlin if Zaregoto (formerly of Del Rey) can be passed on to Vertical, I'm sure they could work something out for KnK.
Though that got me thinking, how will J-Novel Club's partnership with Kodansha coexist with Vertical who are partly owned by Kodansha?
Perhaps Vertical get all the high profile flagship titles like Monogatari and other Nisioisin works while J-Novel Club just get the dregs to try and squeeze some money out of low popularity titles?
-
@Catscope Well, we know, that Vertical will publish the whole Monogatari series. But honestly, Kodansha don´t have a big number of popular titles.
-
Kodansha has does have many titles. Too many for Vertical to handle at least. Look when the next volume of Zaregoto series comes out, 13 months after the first volume.
-
@Hakomari I didn´t write about just titles I write about "popular titles" based on rankings.
-
Ah, sorry missed the word "popular". My point is still valid though.
-
@Hakomari It is, indeed, but it is off-topic when it is going about my post :D
-
@White-Cloud I'm with you for Gawogare.
-
How about this new series written by the same person who wrote 'my big sister lives in a fantasy world'.
It's called 'Instant Death' http://www.novelupdates.com/series/instant-death/ -
@TooFiveFive I'd be willing to give that a read. I've really enjoyed Neechuu and it would be nice to have another Isekai where the main character isn't stupidly overpowered.
-
I'm going to add a request for these series:
"Mondaiji-tachi ga Isekai kara Kuru Sou Desu yo?"
"Saenai Heroine no Sodatekata"
"Rokka no Yuusha"
"Mushoku Tensei" -
@Azsendi said in Novel pick-up requests:
"Rokka no Yuusha"
This one is licensed by Yen Press; I read volume 1 a few weeks ago. I think it's physical copy only though.
-
@hatguy12 Ahh thanks. Didn't know about that.
-
@Azsendi I really LOVE mondaiji-tachi, but do you think it would sell? I mean, aren't all the volumes fan-translated and the LNs finished(I don't know about tje side stories)? But I'm not gonna lie, I'd like a physical copy of that series
-
@ImIlyaz Well, I think it's more of people wanting to legally own books they want. People don't like to pirate, but when that's the only choice for them to get the content they want, that's what they do. Even if there are fan translations, I believe that people who love the series will buy the licensed copy.
