@paul-nebeling For reference, 3 upcoming anime and 8 already-aired anime.

@myskaros Thanks. :-)

@doublemangekyo I'm halfway through So I'm a Spider Vol. 2 and the lack of editing is abysmal. The worst it has to offer so far is translating a skill as [Height of Evil] in a paragraph, and in the next one, barely 4 lines later, it's written as [Height of Occultism]. I can accept typos, shit happens, but inconsistencies of this degree are unacceptable. I won't even mention the fact that the skill name should be [Magic Supremacy] and the "official translation" fails to convey that meaning.
YP doesn't deserve my money at all with their horrible products... but it's either that or never getting to read some light novels, I wish my japanese was good enough to fully read novels on a regular basis but I'm nowhere near close.

I haven't read through it, but literally on the first page of the prologue, Empty Box 2 has a missing word.
Well, thanks to this last incident, I’m beginning understand why
I hear Monster Girl Doctor was the worst edited light novel to date... So looking forward to reading that..
Do Yen Press update their digital offerings' grammar / editing after release?

There is no prologue in either volumes 1 or 2, and I flipped through the first few pages of the first couple chapters and don't see what you're talking about. Not to say I don't believe you, rather hoping you can point me in a more specific location to see if my copy also has this error :x

It's the first page of the story on digital store. The line is the first of the 5th paragraph.
Did you get it?
=P

Well, it's not in the print edition, and I checked the "read the first few pages" thingy on Amazon and don't see anything either :x

Looks like the "Shinmai Maou No Testament" LN series won't get an official English release
-
@xftg123 it's also the last volume I believe, and the main story ended on the previous volume so the author just let himself loose for the epilogue I guess
-
@xftg123 there are 2 ways
-
JNC launches a second label called J-Novel Club Black
-
FAKKU starts publishing Light Novels.
-
-
@rahul-balaggan That could also work
-
- H-Novel Club
- J-Novel Club: Darkness
- Re:J-Novel Club
- J-Novel Heart
- J-Novel Club Kai Super
- Unchained ~a j-novel club production~
- Mufufu
-
Wait, maybe Seven Seas's Ghost Ship Imprint could do it! Despite being adult/mature manga under that imprint, they could possibly do mature/adult LNs!
-

- J-Novel Club: Darkness

@xftg123 Did in fact cross my mind, however with Amazon's recent Kindle purge of content that was to "risque", I felt it would be easily for JNC and FAKKU (who have their own distribution networks) to get them... in theory.
-
@rahul-balaggan If YP takes hostages for the english-speaking market the F! is way worse 'cause they do it in a global scale. I'd rather wait a few years for J-NC to grow big enough to license risque content that having the guys at F! bring their monopolistics "International Distribution Rights" to the novel market. FYI, only they can translate content they license to whatever language they like effectively closing licensing rights to every publisher, be it in english or any other language.
Edit: SevenSeas would be good as well if they finally decide to expand to Kobo which isn't as strict with their content policies.

@terrence I was aiming for this reference actually >.> there have been a few manga that joked about the series getting replaced with an edgier Darkness version too :x can't think of which ones off the top of my head though...
