Novel pick-up requests

I would like to request とある飛空士への追憶 "Recollections for a Certain Pilot" by Koroku Inumura. This light novel and the subsequent sequel/spinoff light novels are really popular in Japan, even made it to the Amazon.jp light novel best seller list. It has been adapted into a feature anime film titled The Princess and The Pilot in 2011 and an anime addaption for the spinoff series.
I would also recommend the Black Lagoon spinoff light novels. The Anime and manga series of Black Lagoon are popular in both Japan and the US, but the light novel spin offs have never been published in english, so translating them could attract the manga/anime fans to light novels.

@Bryan I second that one!!

Just came across the manga adaptation for a much older Isekai series. I realize it's impossible for the LN to get licensed pretty much, but I'd like to at least put it out there.
A-kun (17) no Sensou
Ran from 2001 to 2006 with a total of 9 volumes. Not sure if it had a proper conclusion or was cancelled. The manga apparently only had two volumes. (Of which only 5 chapters are scanlated.)It's about a small chubby MC (Like Accel World) getting sent to another world where the Demons are the good guys and they want him to be the next Demon King and to teach them warfare.

Requesting Kino's Journey / Kino no Tabi.
I know it's a Kadokawa title, but I'm requesting it nonetheless. Maybe one day it will get picked up by either you guys or YP. The new anime adaptation announcement gave me a lot of hope.Other requests:
Kadokawa:
Zero kara Hajimeru Mahou no Sho
Vamp!Some other publishers I'm not sure of:
The New Gate (I randomly picked up the manga and it's kind of decent)
Amagi Brilliant Park!
Slayers
Full Metal Panic!I really admire the way you entered the market, I'm not really the biggest LN reader out there, but I do have some select titles I enjoy here and there. I mostly care about light novels after watching their anime adaptations.
-
@kino I would also like to see the new gate.
-
I'd love to see official translations of:
Red Data Girl
Kurei-nai
The Yuuki Yuuna novels (Current ones are Washio Sumi and Nogi Wakaba) -
@Omoikane I'm glad someone remembers kure nai! I loved that anime.
-
@Sam-Pinansky Love that anime. That's why I so want to read the novels. See what more is there and what more happens after.
-
@Omoikane The anime's great, but I gather that the TV series differs from the novels considerably. I think they're more in line with the OVA episodes that came out later.
Still, I know I'd be interested in seeing them, as well as the author's other series, Denpa-teki na Kanojo. (Or rather, I already own both in Japanese, I just haven't gotten to reading them yet.) -
@Sean-McCann I had always thought the ova eps were stories from later novels after the novels that laid out the story in the anime.
-
@Omoikane They are, but there's a huge difference in tone and characterization between the TV series and the OVAs. Like, Lin is barely recognizable as the same character between the two.
-
@Sean-McCann I see. Then, now, all the more need to read them.
Thanks for the info. -
I am hoping we get at least one shoujo/josei romance LN by this time next year. Doesn't have to be shoujo/josei actually as long as it is a non-harem romance LN.
-
@Hakomari Are triangles ok? Still hoping for those White Album 2 novels since someone brought them up. =P
-
@Terrence Harem! Harem! Harem! Shinmai Maou no Testament, Highschool DxD, Masou Gakuen and Date a Live! :D
-
@sparhawk6 Noooo! (I just don't like that these stories end with either the obvious winner or no winners, and they string you along so much; I'll take a dramatic triangle over them). xD
@Student-no.0 said in Novel pick-up requests:
@Hakomari How about a shoujo/josei reverse-harem LN?
How about a Yuri or Yaoi LN? Fair and balanced representation. =D
-
Triangles are often drama-heavy like in the case of "White Album 2". So preferably no love triangles.
-
@Student-no.0
I am tired of reading harems honestly. Reverse or otherwise. Can't we have a decent monogamous relationship for once? You know the kind church approves(although yaoi would be okay as well. As long as Pope Francis approves of it) xD
-
@Hakomari That's why I like them. I need more drama in my life please. =P
-
@Hakomari Would a love triangle be okay? Still want those White Album 2 novels…
