Novel pick-up requests

@SinCity
You do realize that these are licensed by Yen Press, don't you? -
It's a shame we will have to compete with Yen Press for most novels. I felt like getting some of the big ones would bring a lot of new customers, however most are already licensed... shame.

Not that problematic seeing as Yenpress tends to pick up the big hit anime series based on Light novels.
HJ Bunkos' Hikikomori no Kanojo wa Kami nano desu would've been really nice to see too.
Surprised no one has mentioned Infinite Stratos (that'd be a big title, I guess) though it'd be hard to get the first 7 volumes since the license carried over to HJ after vol 7 and the original license is from Media Factory. Not sure how feasible it would be.

@AviNyah thats why i think kokoro conect would help a lot! Its not liscensed and its relatively big

Would love to get Kokoro Connect. The anime stopped too soon!

I saw that one from HJ, haven't had a chance to read it yet. Why do you recommend it?
-
Oh it just seemed interesting to me, cute heroine, interesting hero power, comedy but with serious plot and writing attached to it too. Also I'm a sucker for NEET-like heroines. If you can't tell with my other recommendation, as well.
Also it does remind me a bit of Sasami-san in a way too, haha. Except without the heavily siscon and the references to japanese mythology.
The only problem is that it's finished and isn't ongoing anymore. Apparently it seems it was rather well liked from the amazon.co.jp reviews I read. Also apparently it has a great finish, though. (8 volumes)
So from an outside perspective I think it really sounds like a fun read.
-
Since Seven Seas is not doing the rest, I'd love to read Shinigami no Ballad.
-
Would like to see any of the following:
-Chivarly of a Failed Knight
-Heavy Object
-Aldermin on The Sky
-Oreimo
-Ero-Manga Sensei
-Sunday Without God
-Maoyu
-Beyond The Boudary
-I Couldn't Become a Hero, So I Reluctantly Decided to Get a Job.I know that the following will be real hard to get but I will still put them here:
-Shokugeki No Soma Ala Cart
-Black Clover Novels -
Probably late to the party, since the anime is done, but Gosick would be glorious.

Going with recent annocements
High school DxD is getting a new anime season so might appeal to get the novels
Date A Live just annouced a new spin-off LN series, though i Don't know the plot just the date of 11/19
-
I wonder if it's possible to pick up Light Novels that were dropped by other publishers?
Off the top of my head, Kino no Tabi, Full Metal Panic, Scrapped Princess, and The Twelve Kingdoms from Tokyopop's line. The Boogiepop series would be cool too.
-
@whoisfriend I'm interested in delving into older LNs like those as well, but I wonder... Is there really a demand? It seems like the majority of readers are mostly interested in newer LNs, or at least the newer ones that are currently being adapted into anime. Not trying to insinuate that this is a bad thing, it's just the general image I have so far.
-
@dluffy That's kind of what I was thinking as well, which is a little unfortunate for a long-time fan like myself. Older titles don't sell as well, and that's just the reality of how the industry goes.
Still, FMP is getting a new anime, so who knows what kind of interest JNC would need to license an older title. A digital-only release might be worth it if the price was right.

Problem with these is that the company that publish them is part of Kadokawa and they are doing their own thing through Yen Press.
-
I just finished the anime, so I would like to request the Cheer Boys novel.
Also another one I thought of was Myriad colors phantom world.
-
@dluffy I would LOVE older light novels to get translated, but do agree that they might not be as popular. I suspect however that a higher profile older LN might do as well as a very low profile newer LN.
-
So yeah, all you people asking for Grimgar...
There you go!
-
:ok_hand: Sweet! Good job, amazing to see such a long running series picked up too as well.
-
Really happy to see Grimgar being picked up, I will excitedly run off and read those four parts now!
The longer running series also sounds interesting. It must be pretty good if it's at 16 volumes in Japan, so I'll definitely give that a shot too. Keep up the good work @Sam-Pinansky!
-
@Fezu Yeah, we'll be caught up to the Japanese release nice and quick! Like, 2-3 years? (Let's hope the sales numbers keep it profitable!)
