Novel pick-up requests

@Fezu Yeah, we'll be caught up to the Japanese release nice and quick! Like, 2-3 years? (Let's hope the sales numbers keep it profitable!)
That'd be surprising, hopefully it sells well! I be sure to buy credits for volumes for it.. The concept intersts me lots!
Is the series anywhere done or is it a series that just keeps going on and on, because it has all these wacky interactions? Would you say the novels are going towards a conclusions or do you think maybe when you catch up there's already 2-3 new volumes?
-
@Fezu I'm pretty sure it's set up in a segmented way where they can start ending it when they feel like, but no end in immediate sight. Honestly I haven't read it all yet...
-
@Sam-Pinansky Ah, that's always nice. I guess with a plot like that it could be endless if the author wants to.
-
@Fezu Already in part 1 it mentions that he saves "hundreds" of girls... So let's say 3 a volume, they've still got like 16 more volumes to go at least!
-
Musaigen no Phantom World would be really nice...
Thanks for the Grimgar license, nice to see that. -
I've been enjoying the anime so far, so I'd like to see Magical Girl Raising Project (or Mahou Shoujo Ikusei Keikaku) picked up.
-
Would love to see fate stay night light novel series get picked up. I heard there are some just never really seen them around because they are all Japanese.
-
Would you guys ever pick up any of the Gundam Universal Century timeline novels? I'd love to read the Zeta and Double zeta novels!

Yes! This would make me happy beyond belief!
-
Man, I just love checking who owns the rights to each series requested here and you realize shockingly that Kadokawa has a iron grip on all media in Japan. It's kind of funny.
-
To be sure I understand, Kadokawa titles are all unavailable?
-
@Dark-Star-Key
I don't think so, it is definitely going to be harder to get licenses from them as they have their own overseas ebook publisher in Yen Press which makes it a bit troublesome (even though they only license novels based from popular animes at the time).
It depends on how Kadokawa sees things in the market, basically. Competition or whether they want everyone to live in harmony.
-
@mattbasby Oh snap! I support this! I want to read Hathaway's flash so much.
-
Can you guys pick up log horizon and spice and wolf? Those are only physical copies with no digital ones. Would love to have them digitally on my kindle!
-
If there is an anime out there that leaves you hanging, but the LN continues the story then I probably want to read the LN. Hagure Yuusha no Aesthetica is a perfect example.
Some of the stuff people mentioned that I would like to see are Amagi Brilliant Park, Toradora, Myriad Colors Phantom World, and I Couldn't Become a Hero, So Reluctantly Decided To Get a Job.
Also, have Gate and Baka & Test been licensed? Those would be nice, too.
-
@Bryan if yen couldn't get digital rights the author has probably vetoed them.
I want to second Baka to Test. Also praying for a license rescue of full metal panic
-
@Bryan At NYCC YenPress Announced they would be releasing digital versions of Spice & Wolf light novel. Release date is TBD

Spice and Wolf is already on BookWalker for those who use that app.
-
@the-green-death As of this post only the Spice and Wolf Manga series is on the BookWalker global site.

@Rahul-Balaggan I'll chalk that up to my terrible reading comprehension! I remember being surprised seeing them there as they aren't on Amazon, but I thought since BW is owned by the publisher they went early. That I misread makes more sense, thanks for correcting my error!
