@doublemangekyo said in Adachi to Shimamura:
After the season ended I didn't see anyone talking about KC, whereas Toradora is referenced to this day.
Actually, after the season ended, there was "the casting controversy" then the 2nd Season petition
Seven Seas licensed the manga 2 year after the anime and it did well (not better than Toradora) but it didn't suck like the novel sales. -
Curiosity Cat:
Can I request that one of the 2019 goals be to trial a Yaoi & Yuri title? I think theirs potential with the markets, but you're the expert.
will be experimenting with some yuri perhaps

There's hope.
-
@terrence The question then becomes whether it will be a fluffy yuri, dramatic yuri, or teasing yuri. (I hope for the first)
-
@aruseus493 yandere yuri...

Bookwalker has this new feature where they recommend a novel novel if you're a fan of "insert light novel". One of the features they did was on Adachi.
『安達としまむら』が好きなら『ののはな通信』がオススメ! https://bookwalker.jp/ex/feature/cocobun/entry/novel/20180629.html
And they recommended this one.
"Letters Between Nono and Hana".

So the manga has been getting fan-scanlated again. And it's been so ridiculously cute. Would definitely recommend people give it a try.

Here's the cover for volume 8 which comes out May 10th.

Apparently will be receiving an anime adaptation.

Now that Adachi to Shimamura is getting an anime adaptation (which I predicted correctly) I might shill the author a bit. He debuted in Dengeki Bunko imprint back in 2007 with a mystery LN series. His early writing was somewhat inspired by Otsuichi, Nisio and Yonezawa - 2 of which might be familiar to anime fans. You can also see the influence of other mystery and sci-fi writers such as Koutaro Isaka.
Most of his works were published in Dengeki Bunko, but after Media Works Bunko which is more of a general literature extension of Dengeki was established he started writing more for that label. So, in total, he has 14 LN series and 16 non-LN books/series. And he's got to be the LN writer with the most diverse collection of books. Yuri LN, Yuri sci-fi, Yuri, Yuri, "Bloom into you" LN spinoff, detective novel, harem rom-com LN, detective novel, some book about a naked guy moving in with the MC, ecchi horror LN, rom-com LN, book about hot men in a desert, yuri sci-fi - romance between a girl and robot, some straight sci-fi love story (though also unique), something called "Imouto Life", story about a college dude and the trash can his ex left him and so on.
