Ore no Imouto ga Konna ni Kawaii Wake ga Nai
-
Synopsis:
Kyosuke Kosaka, a normal seventeen-year-old high-school student, hasn’t gotten along with his younger sister, Kirino, in years. For longer than he can remember, Kirino has ignored his comings and goings and looked at him with spurning eyes. It seemed as if the relationship between Kyosuke and his sister, now fourteen, would continue this way forever. One day, however, Kyosuke finds a DVD case of a magical girl anime entitled Hoshikuzu Witch Meruru (Stardust Witch Meruru), which had fallen into the entranceway of his house. To Kyosuke’s surprise, inside the case is a hidden adult video game titled Imoto to Koishiyo! (Love with Little Sister!)

My little sister cannot be this cute.
I remember the anime of this...and the subsequent ruining of the ship which I was hoping for.
Light novel from the fan translations was not too bad, I have upvoted this post, but I would not mind either way if it is licensed or not.
I believe the same author wrote "ero-manga sensei", so there is a theme surroundings imoutos. -
I am obligated to upvote this series for one very important reason:
-
I bought the manga, and the anime (both seasons). I'd buy the LN if available.
I've read the manga all the way through Kuroneko's good ending, I really can't say I've watched much of the anime, though.
-
@verdelishjp But best girl never got much of a chance and was some side character more than anything; at least in the anime. There is supposed to be a dating sim where we get more of her.

Relevant for people interested in certain ships, they're doing a new "what if" volume... (Full series ship Spoilers):

Super popular series only issue with it since its popular many readers already know how its end and it's twist and turns. With so many novels to read is it worth reading one you know how it ends? That said this novel feature really super cute likable heroines.

@crimson-wise Oh I included Kirino with the heroines, thou Ayase would be my favorite in the series

The joke is that Kirino is not a "likable" heroine :P
-
@stardf29 Oh that was funny! Yes didn't get it at first
-
@terrence I actually post the LN’s for the same reason, I think they would be more likely to publish spin-offs if they publish the original light novel first
-
@verdelishjp
Why does she look like the creepy stalker type here? -
I'd love for this series to be picked up, I'd even donate toward the licensing fees like a Kickstarter if needed haha.

It would be nice for Oreimo to get an official translation. Especially now since new content is finally being released in the form of the "what if" stories.
Agree. Doesn't change the fact I'm a bit sour how
-
The same as for Eromanga-sensei, it's a must have for the english light novel market. The anime was so great and the comedy between the characters is unique.

Agree. I know both have a decent fan translations, but I'd buy the official releases in a heartbeat(The same for Eromanga Sensei manga, Dark Horse abandoned it, but it later got complete fan translation...).
