General Anime Discussion (what are you watching now?)
-
I don't watch too much as it comes out but I do watch My Hero Academia every week within a few days of release.
Outside of that I watch these:
Chi (currently airing but I'm a few episodes behind)
Re:Creators (also a few behind)
Cardcaptor Sakura (I'm on season 2)
Sword Art Online (doing a rewatch)
My Love Story (on season one)
Gatchaman (love the old artwork, I'm on episode 8 or so)I'm also very slowly picking away at:
My Neighbor Seki
Genesis Climber Mosapeda
Gundam ZZ
Karate Master
Infinite StratosI just did a Rightstuf order during their Discotek sale so I have a stack of other 1970s anime coming that I'll slowly cycle through along with Gatchaman.

Karate Master
Is that show as absolutely amazing as it looks?

Yes it is. So good! My only disappointment is that they seem to drop the strange live action scenes that were interspersed in the first few episodes.

I'm from the working class, so I don't watch as much as a I used to. I more often read LN and webnovels recently.
For some reason, what I do watch this season are only:
- Boruto: Naruto Next Generations (Surprisingly more interesting than the manga IMO).
- Armed Girls Machiavellism (I know it's silly, but it hits me right.)
I have plans to watch others, of course. But no guarantees.
-
Right Now I am watching
Restaurant to Another World
Aho-Girl
New Game!
Gamers!
Classroom of the elite!
Re:Creators
Kakegurui - Compulsive Gamblerthese are pretty much the only things I am watching right now. although I am only watch the first 3 consistently, and am somewhat behind on the others.

I tend to drop anime so fast even if they are good but I then watch it like 2 years later when I'm bored, like for summer season I dropped like 2-4 good anime just because I was feeling lazy.

I really can't get motivated to watch them right now, I think partly because so many are LN adaptations I'd rather read, and partly because the rest star Moe Blobs and recycle ideas.
I've liked the clips I've seen of Aho-Girl and Tsuredere Children... But the episodes are so short. xC

When it comes to anime I tend to be reaaaaally picky, I will always look for a specific style or animation, genre and plot. Even if its really good anime with a sick plot and all the genres im looking for but the animation style isn't to my liking, I won't watch it. Due to this I'm currently. ot watching any anime

I think all the fall shows have aired, so here's my list:
- UQ Holder
- Juuni Taisen
- Shokugeki no Souma S3
- Just Because!
- Net-juu no Susume
- Kino no Tabi
- San-gatsu no Lion
- Love is Like a Cocktail (short)
- Imouto sae Ireba ii (could possibly drop, but still interested enough for now)
Continuing from last season...
- Fate/Apocrypha
- Shoukoku no Altair
- Ballroom e Yokoso
Plan to watch:
- BLEND-S
- Mahoutsukai no Yome
- Kekkai Sensen & Beyond
- Animegataris
Dropped:
- Boku no Kanojo ga Majimesugiru Sho-bitch na Ken
- Just wasn't funny and moved too slow. I did like the "Do you want power?" failed bento joke, but that was one laugh in 2 episodes.
-
Currently watching Hellsing Ultimate, then I think I'll queue up Ancient Magus Bride.
-
Crunchyroll:
Anime Gataris
A Sister's All You Need
Love is Like a Cocktail
Magical Circle Guru Guru (2 cour from last season)
Urahara
Recovery of an MMO Junkie
Kino's Journey
Blend-S
Ancient Magus' BrideAnimelab:
Shobitch
UQ HolderHiDive:
Land of the Lustruous (though behind as I can't afford subs to three bloody services, if I hadn't paid a year of Animelab up front I could have switched)Had started Konohana Kitan & Evil or Live (on Crunchy) but thinking of dropping them. If I'm not dying to know what happens next week I have heaps more to watch or read instead & they're pretty meh.
Urahara is next most likely to get dropped, everything else either hooked me pretty hard or I'm familiar with the source material so seeing how it compares.
-
I spoiled myself on King's Game (just the "King"; at least, I assume the person is the King, unless there's a double fake out). Probably still watch to see who lives and for relationship drama. xP
-
My personal favorite for this season is "Just because". My favorite from last was the Ballroom one and I'm also watching "March comes In Like A 🦁 " season 2.
-
@hyferzftw I’m beginner nd on Ballroom because I liked it better than my girlfriend so we would never end up watching it, but thought what I saw of it was really great. I’m surprised that it didn’t become more popular here.
Looks like I’ll have to check out your other picks when I get the time!

A Sister's All You Need
Recovery of an MMO Junkie
Ancient Magus' BrideNot much this season I'm interested in.
-
This season I'm watching:
- Juni Taisen: Zodiac War (I was disappointed by the novel, but I like the presentation here, at least.)
- King's Game (Bad, but entertainingly so. Original manga was bad too.)
- Girls' Last Tour (Enjoying this a lot so far. They've done a good job nailing the atmosphere.)
- Inuyashiki (Fantastic first episode. Haven't read the manga, but this is an early contender for anime of the season.)
- Kino's Journey (Enjoying this, although some who have read the novels or watched the other series feel that this is apparently a weaker adaption so far.)
- Dies Irae (Very close to dropping.)
- Yuki Yuna is a Hero Season 2 (Just binged the first season, surprised by how much I liked it.)
- Dragon Ball Super
Might pick up Magus Bride after the first cour finishes.
I'm also considering going back and watching some things I was interested in but never followed up on, like Sakura Quest and Princess Principal.

Are there any good death game manga / light novels? Just seems like they all involve yandere tropes and stupid people. xP
-
@terrence You say that as if the Mirai Nikki manga wasn't the funniest thing ever.
Afaik the original Battle Royal novel was considered pretty good, but both the 2 English and the German translation are subar, so I've never read more than the first chapter.

You could check out Darwin's Game and Tomodachi Game. They're longer-running manga, so hopefully that's indicative of being good enough to run that long :o

The best one I watch this season will be WaSuYu. Cannot wait for the feel.
Other will be Net-juu no Susume and Blend S.
