 @georgemto
 gets most of the way through Receptionist vol 1 and is really enjoying it
 checks premium epubs list - sees bonus short stories in all 3 volumes
 has exactly 3 credits in stock because I always purchase in groups of 10 to minimise international transaction fees
 Well I guess that's a sign
 has 0 credits left

 @myskaros is Side by Side Dreamers the author’s debut novel? I can see a lot of influence of this in Otherside Picnic. Lots of ideas that were sort of glossed over here became much more fleshed out in that series. One thing I notice is that she likes to write dreamscapes where normal logic doesn’t apply. Makes for some trippy reading.

 @anony-mouse99 Doing a quick search on Amazon JP, no, he's written other novels, and Otherside Picnic vol. 1 also came out earlier than Side-By-Side Dreamers.

 @myskaros I see. Thanks for the info. In that case I guess both book/series draw from the same source of inspiration then, but for different audience/age groups.

 Oh man, I’m always up for Science Adventure series stuff.

 Where is the the Realist Kingdom Volume 1 discussion thread? I can only find threads for Volume 2 and onward, and for the manga. EDIT: Found them! Apparently, they were never moved to the Realist Hero subforum.

 @sillymel The really early series/volumes were a lot less organized when it comes to forum topics, unfortunately :<

 Also, for other people that want to read Realist Hero, Volume 1’s prologue is missing from the pre-pubs, and you’ll have to read it from one of the ebook samples.

Oh, that's odd. Not sure how or when that happened. I've fixed it, so part 1 should have the prologue now.

Hey, sorry for the non-sequitor here myskaros, but was wondering if JNC was thinking of picking up either the manga or the kinda/sorta sequel?

 Not Myskaros however, the general answer would be that J-Novel Club does not publicly comment on any potential licensing acquisitions until they are ready to announce. That being said, since you are quoting a comment in relation to the Realist Hero Series, I will mention that J-Novel Club has licensed and is releasing the manga. https://j-novel.club/series/how-a-realist-hero-rebuilt-the-kingdom-manga Since you mentioned sequel series after that, I assume this is not about Realist Hero, as to my knowledge there is no sequel series.

Thanks for the reply. And that is an Oopsie on my part, as I think I may have quoted the wrong item in the thread. I meant to ask about the manga and sequel regarding The Sorcerer's Receptionist, which was discussed earlier in the thread and the silly me that I am didn't realize that the topic changed. Completely understand about formally commenting on future works, however.
