Acquisitions Speculation - General

You know I feel like we are all very lucky right now, even 4-5 years ago the idea that we could get to read so many LN beyond mostly poorly translated fan stuff would be crazy. Just from J novel club alone we will have gotten more than 20 new translated series or stand alones in just 2018, that’s crazy stuff.
I guess I’m just really glad to be able to legally access the medium I love so much is what I’m trying to say.

I know what you mean. The memory of Yen Press discarding the original covers for Spice & Wolf in favor of westernized ones seems a distant memory at this point...

@korppi Sometime the westernize cover can be better, the new cover for the french edition of goblin slayer look way cooler than the jap one

@raitoiro well I still like the original cover. The series is about the characters and you get a sense that something is not right when you flip the cover anyways.

@drone205 The serie is about character but mostly that dude being badass while killing goblin what i feel that cover show more than the jap one. The real problem is more that the next volumes will probably have the jap cover so vol1 won't fit that well with the rest of the serie.

Are we sure this isnt a touhou?Considering the description I think it is highly likely that #1 is Realist Hero due to the complaints about the changes to the character designs from the lns.

if everything stays on track around Thanksgiving, could be before could be after.Scratch that looks like manga is set for around Thanksgiving, and LN will just come in “winter”

Terminix makes me think of that Exterminator other world light novel, but this is a manga title, so idk. It does have a two volume manga as well, so hmmm.

Yeah, my guess for #1 is Realist Hero. All the females in the series got... upgrades. Don't get me wrong, I'm normally a fan of that sort of character design, it's just that in this case it's a change from what was already established.

I didn't look much into the hints yet, but if #2 is Exterminator, then I'm all for it. I've been checking out the WN + manga scanlation and I like it!

Not sure if I'd like Exterminator, myself, but not everything is for me. I read the WN and it ... just got repetitive. He doesn't do anything and it's not the fun sort of slice of life. Though that's WN, so they could've edited it for manga/LN.

@dtta From what I've read of the manga, which I suppose is based on the LN, the story is already a bit different at the start.

Oh we have cute characters but hey ...
We have beautiful ones too (The sorceress !).
Anyways, about the 10 new acquisitions, because i'm bad with that, i will just wait...
