I feel this was a really strong set of manga announcements.
3 series that j novel already has the LN for in Dendrogram, Realist, and seirei gensouki.
1 that I never saw coming but am absolutely thrilled about in Bookworm.
1 that I’ve never heard of before in Fairy apartment, but could be interesting.

I'm happy about Ascendance and that Fairy Apartment one, and I'm glad to see some series we know and love in action.
The publishers are Overlap, TO Books, and Hobby Japan.
I can't help but notice the slate all appear to be fantasy oriented. I know that's JNCs bread and butter, the main audience, but I'm curious to see what they experiment with genre wise there. I know they're looking into Yuri potentially, whether that's manga or LN.

Eh, chotto... I'm really not a fan of this "manga adaptations" thing, but maybe it means we could someday get the Bookworm's novel. Big maybe. Either way, hard pass on everything this time.

Definitely a good set of pickups.
Already familiar with Realist Hero and Dendrogram so I’ll be seeing how they get adapted as manga. The art for Dendrogram manga is great, though, so that’s a plus. On the other hand I’m not personally a fan of the Realist Hero manga art but I guess being as different as it is will appeal to other fans. Still will follow the manga though just because I love Realist Hero that much.
Seirei Gensouki manga is nice because for various reasons, I’m hesitant on starting the LNs. Manga is easier for me to get into, though, so I’ll check out the manga and based on that I might (or might not) start the LNs as well.
Fairy Apartment is a nice non-LN-based title. We need more cute 4komas like this in the English manga sphere.
And finally, Ascendance of a Bookworm! The LN for this definitely interests me a lot, so I’m glad to at least be able to check out the manga.

There is a very important question that needs to be asked: Do people who read light novels also read manga of said light novel?

@zing Mostly sounds like a case of additional advertising to me, hence why it likely doesn't matter just how many of the novel readers are going to read manga at the same time. I, for one, won't, even as a part of a sub.
A person becomes interested in a story through a short manga and then, when he is already invested and wants to know what happens next, you sell him a novel. Pretty simple and effective, manga is a relatively more popular and less time-consuming medium after all.

@zing The main thing I like about these manga adaptations is that they provide a visual adaptation of the story. This is obviously more relevant for series that don't have anime adaptations yet, but in general, it's nice to have some visuals for the entire story for some.
Of course if I like the manga art style enough that alone is also a reason to read it.
That said, yeah, it basically is there to draw in new people, since manga is an easier point of entry in general.

Like some of the others, I'll read the manga adaptations of LN if they are part of the subscription, but normally not otherwise. I am somewhat excited for the Infinite Dendrogram one, though, I'm interested in more depictions of the characters from that story.
Manga are significantly more expensive on the time per dollar scale for me compared to LNs, so I don't read many of them in general. It's hard to justify a manga for a story when there's a more "complete" and money efficient option available in the LNs.

I rent my manga from the library.
I buy the occasional one, but usually only if it's a really good deal (cheap Omnibus or something; super cheap on sale). That said, I'll probably read the ones I've read the original work for, and also the manga originals here.
Still, I'd recommend people at least thumb through Ascendance of a Bookworm in case it needs eyes to get the LN license (some speculating they may already have it in the other 5 LN yet to be announced, but I don't want to count my chickens yet). Obviously verbal support on social platforms helps as well.

@zing it kind of depends for me, there are a few factors that goes into whether or not I read the manga.
How much do I like the series?
What is new or different about the Manga?
How is the art?

I haven't been active on the site for a few months, but this particular topic is one I've given a lot of thought to with regards to my personal preferences. I've noticed that the anime and manga are a lot less entertaining if I've read the LN. For that reason, I tend to avoid manga which I've read the LN of. However, I'll inversely avoid reading the LN of a manga which I'm reading. The reason is the difference in the amount of material covered, and noticeable gaps in the story when alternating between them.
I'm rather adamant about anime, and refuse to skip over a series which I'm interested in. However, I get nowhere near the enjoyment from watching a series which I've read the LN of. Case in point, Smartphone came up in a conversation earlier this week because I noticed that it was a catch-up this month. I originally watched the series before beginning reading the LN, and actually enjoyed it quite a bit. However, as a result of the conversation, ended up re-watching the series yesterday and it was painfully obvious how much of the story had been pushed out of the anime in order to give only a bare-bones "primer" for the story in the anime. In that spotlight, it was hard to see why I had been so hyped about the series. FWIW, I had the same feeling from Ragnarok and How Not to Summon a Demon Lord as some of my favorite scenes from the LNs had been either completely edited out, or edited to barely a mention.
I know this makes it sound like I'm placing a lot of weight on the LN aspect, but a lot more time is required for reading a LN than is required for manga or anime. More often than not, it's spare time that I don't have. For that reason, I'm actually more likely to avoid the LN (after a fair review of the first part) if I know there are other adaptations available.
I'm currently only reading about a dozen manga series, the catch-up of Smartphone, and My Mental Choices are Completely Interfering with my School Romantic Comedy (practicing my Japanese with this one).
I will add that I'm also more likely to read a manga which I've already seen the anime of in order to continue the story. Up to this point, the only LN which I've done the same with are the two I'm currently reading. Otherwise, I nitpick one media or the other to the point that I can't enjoy it. Case in point, I've tried watching Rokujouma at least half a dozen times this year and consistently get sidetracked by something else.

Regarding the 5 series your in discussions for...are any isekai? I love the isekai genre and hope we get lots more.
It should come as no surprise that some are isekai and some are not! One is reverse isekai though.
So there's a reverse isekai title in the mix! I personally have really wanted to see more reverse isekai in the English LN-sphere in general so this is great news to me. As for what that reverse isekai title might be... I'll let those more familiar with what LNs are out there speculate on that.

Apparently the definition of reverse Isekai is contentious though, lol. But this one has both the (rejected) hero returning to his world, and a princess being reverse Isekai'd there as well (by accident?).
This one does have a manga adaptation as well that is just starting up (one volume released so far, and it has chapter releases on Bookwalker as well).

I'm hoping it's the Overlap title, The Hero's Success is Now! which has caught my interest back when it was announced.

The only time I read manga is when I accidentally buy them at Yenpress. It’s kinda a waste like someone mentioned IMO since I get less time of entertainment. This has happened to me 4 times now. I’m not sure if I’m to blame for “accidentally” buying manga tho cuz not all their licensed titles does it say “manga” or at least it didn’t when I accidentally bought them.

This happened to me with Slime. It's sitting on my desk unread. T_T

That’s not as bad as the time I was ordering on book depository and ended up with a German copy of a manga.
