J-Novel Club description (Light Novel):
"In the harsh region known as the borderlands, humans must fight an endless battle against demi-human creatures that come at them relentlessly, intent on taking their land and their gods. A young boy named Kai, fighting to defend his village, sustains a life-threatening injury that causes him to regain memories from a past life. If you’re not a guardian bearer, it’s like you’re playing life on hard mode... Kai’s newfound knowledge gives him a new sense of the unfair “rule set” that governs the world around him. One thing is clear: For those without a god to serve as their guardian, life is a constant struggle for survival. Thus begins the epic tale of a young boy’s ascent into a vast world filled with magic, bloodshed, and mystery."Why I want this manga licensed:
I really loved the light novels, so much so that I purchased all 3 premiums after binging them on catchup one month. It really reminded me of The Way of Kings, where the main character is basically on the brink of death in slavery, but then he saves himself with a hidden supernatural power that other people and even enemies can use. The light novels are not finished, and many loose ends are still left unanswered, so hopefully a volume 4 and beyond will be released by the author. In the meantime, I would very much love to re-read this series in manga form :)
J-Novel Club does not seem to have licensed a manga before by PASH! Comics, but they have licensed several LN series by their LN division. -
Now up to 94 chapters and 8 volumes. Really really would love to see this licensed. The author is still writing a web novel chapter each month which slowly but surely brings us closer to a volume 4. Looking at the manga it seems like it’s in the mid or latter half of volume 3, so the author has a decent incentive to release the next volume so that the manga can keep going.

I can imagine that the manga has to be great for this, so long as the art holds up.
And yay, possible impending new volume!
