How long does it take from JP release to English
-
I have a question about how long does it usually take for volume that is released in Japan to get to the translators because I just find it out Arifureta Zero final volume has yet to start on pre publish translation And volume 13 was just released of the main story. Sorry I seem a little rambling but I am concerned about censorship causing the delay because of some publishers in JP seem straight up not releasing chapters for series due questionable content

@elijah203223 We have the "Future Volume Release Schedule" topic pinned in multiple subforums:

If a series is caught up with the Japanese releases, whenever a new volume is released, the new volume needs to be licensed separately. Licensing can vary wildly in how long it takes, so there are no hard estimates on when the the next volume will start streaming, sorry!

@elijah203223 Not to mention the availability of the translator and editor doing the series. Many do double-duty.

@elijah203223 If that's your worry then I don't think licensing speed is even really a factor here. If the JP publisher doesn't want the content released internationally, JNC isn't going to be able to license it in the first place.

I'm curious, which English licensed LNs have had to skip chapters from the Japanese version of the LN?
I know about a Seven Seas editor deciding on their own to alter Paul's background to make him more sympathetic in Mushoku Tensei, but that was the US editor's decision.

@harmlessdave I assume they're referring to Shueisha/Viz/MangaPlus's decision not to publish certain chapters of Ayakashi Triangle.
