I come with an incredible development. Bookwalker Japan has listed a new light novel volume, LN Volume 2. The LNs are in fact, not cancelled. The listed publication date is 2024-07-31, about 21 months after LN 1.

Yes! Not cancelled! We need to get this licensed.

@sorvani The manga version featured regular updates with volume releases ~3 months apart, so I didn't think the manga had been axed at any rate (and given what the descriptions on bookwalker JP said, seemed unlikely).

Apparently LN2 just took a while to happen. Open question if it'll be another 21 months before LN3 or not, though. Time will tell, I guess.

Hello, I'm back once again. Manga volume nine has been listed on JPN bookwalker, slated for release on 2024-11-08.

@dragon3010 I also don‘t know why… Actually, J-Novel Club is known for licensing such series, so it‘s a mystery. Maybe it has something to do with the licensing conditions.
In any case, I would be very happy if J-Novel Club licensed both the manga and light novel.

If you want a hint, look at the publisher for this series, and check what that publisher has been doing and what series we've licensed from them in recent years.

@myskaros Yep, that totally explains it. I completely forgot that Kodansha has an English branch now.
