Baka to Test to Shoukanjuu
-
Publisher: Enterbrain (Kadokawa)
Status: Complete (Main series is 12 volumes/18 volumes with side volumes)Everyone gotta know this one~!
The idiotic, chaotic, funny, and definitely stupid story of the idiot group of friends trying to take on every other class.
For those who don't know:
The school's classes are based on the scores.
F being the worst so they get the worst facilities and the opposite holds true. The school happens to have developed experiments to summon fantasy creatures, whose HP and power are your test score.
So, F class challenges the other higher classes to take over their facilities~Ridiculous and fun series~
Same author as Grand Blue manga -
The anime was simply awesome. I love this bizarre kind of comedy, the author just kept having fun with the setting and it really brought me in. Take my upvote, good sir.

Definitely one of the best comedy series I've watched/ read. would buy this in a heartbeat if it was translated.
-
I bought the anime over the summer at AX I wouldn’t mind reading the story more
-
Was just reminded of Baka Test. I miss it.
-
@saffire we need more baka and test in our lives, it complements baka and rina well...
-
Since there was no season 3 of the anime, the light novels must be translated for a conclusion!!!!
-
@animeman12233 That would be true of almost all anime adaptations of light novel series and is why I'd very much like to see companies like JNC and Yen Press license more of the older series that were adapted into anime, but sadly, they usually don't sell as well, so it's much rarer that they get licensed. :(
Buying stuff like FMP, Infinite Stratos, Slayers, Amagi Brilliant Park, Orphen, Crest of the Stars, etc. can help encourage JNC to license more such series - like this one.

@Kalessin
agreed - "voting with your wallet" is a thingI think there may be a missed opportunity with Anime that is no longer in production or the most popular at present but still readily available on streaming sites/ and cross promotions with translations on LN - at least in the USA
I can't imagine that Crunchyroll/Tubi/Funimation/Hulu etc. don't want more eyes on whatever is in their 'back catalogs', nor can I imagine that JNC wouldn't benefit from some well placed ads .
I see the same ads for klondike bars or fabreeze or whatever again and again, and fillers for crunchyroll's other programming (I get it Dr. Stone is a thing, I don't need to be reinded 8x a day) FMP, Infinite Stratos, Slayers, Amagi Brilliant Park, Orphen, and others are all straming now - lets remind folks that they can find out 'what happens after the anime ends'sorry I went on a tangent

I just recently re watched the anime and I reeeaaalllyy want this now!!! easily in my top 5 anime ever
-
I concur. I need more ways to spend my free time :3
