MAL, Wikia, Wiki (jp)Description (form type-moon Wikia):
Ten years after the Fourth Holy Grail War, Waver Velvet, now Lord El-Melloi II and in charge of the Department of Modern Magecraft, solves problems and investigates mysteries in the thaumaturgy world on behalf of magi with the help of his apprentice Gray, all the while navigating the cutthroat politics of the Clock Tower.====
While it's a pseudo-sequel to Fate zero since it continues the story of one of the characters (Waver, rider's master), I find the tone closer to Kara no Kyoukai and while it's probably better to read Fate zero before it's not a requirement. Why I want it:
I've read what's available of the manga and LN both were great and as a fan of the Fate franchise and Nasuverse as a whole, I really like seeing more of the world outside of the grail wars and outside of Japan. Seeing how the fourth holy war has change Waver and how he is dealing with the aftermath is also really interesting, same for the new characters Grey, Reines or Flat.
Plus it's a mystery series which is always a plus. The anime which recently starts airing is also really good so far.
Why I think it could be a good pick to JNC:
Fate? Apparently, it's really hard to get Type-Moon licenses, but I do think that those LN could be really popular.
That said even if Type-moon LN were to become available it would likely not be the first series to be licensed. -
It´s not hard to get but too Expensive to get
-
@theredjet really? pretty much everything else is getting license tho, I would have thought that VN and manga are pretty similar to LN when it come to cost and return.
-
@raitoiro Type-Moon is charging Extremely Large sum of money(gaming companies can licence Type-Moon games since they are making huge profit of lots of games but LN publisher doesn´t make that kind of money)
-
@theredjet yeah that makes sense, well we just have to buy more LN so that one day Sam is rich enough to throw some money at Fate ^^
