Acquisitions Speculation - General

A bit of speculation:
- A license "rescue" - Ragnarok, I vaguely remember that HJ or Overlap "rescued" this title by re-releasing it after another publisher stopped it years ago.
- Finally my String Theory background comes in handy - There was some title Sam talked about reading that was some weird Sci-fi intergallactic/interdimensional idol kind of thing. By no means a sure bet, but that's what comes to mind.
- They don't make them like they used to - Orphen
I'm not counting out MT or Rakudai fully yet. I know Ningen's comments imply they're not licensed, but I think Ningen is capable of misdirection. Of course, I think those titles are long shots anyways. If I were to trying to fit the story of them being picked up, I might add in the fact we've seen Sam has managed to make print editions of Smartphone; they're probably only limited convention-copies, but if Sam has managed to set up a reasonable way to do print editions, that could help with negotiating for titles, since I think lack of print was one of the sticking points.
It's also vaguely my theory that "AX Teaser Announcement" will be Sam saying he's figured out a way to do print, and that print editions for some JNC series will be coming up in the future (beyond what Seven Seas already does).
-
One other popular one could be that Destruction Flag one. It's not super super popular compared to other ones at the top of request lists, but it has been requested and talked about a decent amount.
I think there's some difficulty related to the publisher Ichijinsha though (Wiki says they're Kodansha owned though)?

The story itself is short like 60 pages; I own it. But I believe it is a part of a book with several stories so your guess might be correct nonetheless.

Made a list of previous hints. @Fezu, can you add it to first post? Even just hints themselves are pretty painful to look up. Edit: I guess you may want to separate lines in that or make it a bullet list.
Seems Inou Battle is being called a possibility for the "Wryyyy" hint since I guess the anime has some JoJo references?
Then the hint would be referring to a very minor aspect of series (we don't even know if LNs have those references) while also being applicable to tons of other titles. That would be like using "protagonist saw panties in this one" as a hint and I hope Sam won't ever get to that level of disappointment. Personally I think it's more likely to be something with vampires (like a nap-loving one from ES-novel). Or with time manipulation. Or with a steamroller.

Then the hint would be referring to a very minor aspect of series...
Iirc, we did get at least one hint that referred to a minor thing in a volume 1.
I know there was one about eggplant?
Found it:
The "not part of the Nasuverse" hint ended up being for Yume Nikki.
It was a reference to a minigame in it where you collect eggplants (eggplant means Nasu). -
@terrence Nasu is a very memorable part of Yume Nikki (plus, that was a part of multi-hint thing). Meanwhile I can't remember Inou Battle having any JoJo references.
-
Yeah, I can't recall them either (they said one of the characters can stop time..which isn't a power specific to JoJo, but is the way they do it specific?). So I doubt it, but I saw it thrown out there on the Reddit (the other one was Oreshura).
I was thinking something more fabulous art style wise like JoJo with poses, but I don't know anything offhand.

Or with time manipulation.
Time manipulation was in the guess for Inou Battle on Reddit, yeah.

@terrence Again, every anime these days have a JoJo reference or two. Can be art style, SFX, direct/obscured quotes (try remembering or googling ones used in steins;gate, did you find this one?) or even reproduction of entire scenes.
Oreshura directly named JoJo so if fits that reasoning a bit better. -
I have updated with the previous hints that you mentioned @_08
They're at the bottom of the Opening Post.

@_08 Updated again! Thanks for making it a bit more readable!

You know what else is wryyyy? Smiles.

Maybe there's an LN cover with a large wry grin? x)

If that is the case I would really love to see that all the series be available in print. maybe it could be something like a Print-to-Order type of thing, though if they do not come with the bonus stuff then IDK if I would (most likely I would get Faraway Paladin as Print and others JNC series I Love too but IDK).

@drone205
For me, it has to be Outbreak Company and Invader of Rokujyoma. -

The recent e-mail mentions a huge non-licensing announcement and a curiouscat answer suggests that "AX Teaser Announcement" is a license, so those two are separate.
Gonna hijack your idea and speculate that Sam's going to piggyback on HJ to get relatively cheap low-volume prints for most if not all of their titles.

AX Announcement #5: Might not make it in time for AX (sorry)
Originally I was thinking this was "I've Been Reincarnated (Sorry)" ("Tensei shichatta yo (Iya, gomen)"), but then I don't think it's gotten past the webnovel stage into published light novel form, so I'm probably wrong.
-
@_08 That picture of Sam did have him holding English printed copies of Smartphone (a HJ title).
-
@unsynchedcheese Alphapolis wasn't really approachable, last time Sam commented on that. Either way e-mail explicitly says it's not a hint.
@Paul-Nebeling That, the book's size and SS not having a single HJ title.

I'm not much of a physical guy, so I have no rooting interest in a particular title.
From Curiosity Cat:
Do any of your upcoming licenses have more than 10 volumes? — Yes

I am the kind of guy who might get a title he was iffy about if it's available in print so....
