Genre: Action, Adventure, Fantasy
Volumes: 16
Completed Series: No

Description (from Crunchyroll):
His strength limited by the magical crest with which he was born, Mathias, the world’s most powerful sage, decides reincarnation is necessary to become the strongest of all. Upon his rebirth as a young boy, Mathias is thrilled to discover he’s been born with the optimal crest for magical combat on his first try! Unfortunately, the world he’s been born into has abysmally poor standards when it comes to magic, and everyone thinks he’s still marked for failure! Now it’s up to Mathias to prove everyone wrong…world’s strongest sage-style!I personally really enjoyed the anime for this and while (like with The Misfit of Demon King Academy) Square Enix is already translating the Manga, it would be great to be able to get the light novel translated as well.

I personally liked the WN of this. Not sure if it would be a hot seller though since a lot of the story is the MC being OP and just beating up everyone who gets in his way.

A segment of readers definitely like that, but for most, it gets old pretty quickly unless there is some twist (like Invincible Little Lady and how it is more about her excessive abilities causing social issues than using them to fight).

@piisfun Yeah, I'm not sure it has that mainstream appeal (though I guess it does have 16 volumes so far, so it must be doing reasonably well for itself). I suppose it's main pitfall from a licensing perspective is the anime is already out and done with even if it's reasonably recent still. The MC being ridiculously strong is sort of the central story the way it's done is almost like a rebuilding civilization story, so I could see people who liked say Fushi no Kami maybe getting into this one.
There's actually a few titles under the GA Novel imprint this publishes on that I would be tentatively interested in and JNC did grab When Supernatural Battles Became Commonplace off their GA Bunko imprint. Maybe they can grab this alongside some other titles.
