@cureClover I don't personally feel beholden to the audio books and I don't think there is ever a definitive text. Authors often revise their books until the day they die. The Japanese ebooks in Japan get edited to fix errors too.

Bookworm error fixing is a really complicated thing with a vast network of involved people so sadly I can't just make the changes myself. There are many cracks for things to slip through. I think in 2022 I assumed that your post had been put in the proper position to be looked over but I wasn't even aware of the P1V1 update a few days ago. I've now linked your post directly in the corrections sheet and put "REFERENCE P1V1 POST" in big letters across it. At the very least, I acknowledge the problems as problems and also hope they can be fixed.

    Hello,

Just as a reminder no EN publisher has announced that they have licensed the series. So asking when it will be translated into English may give others impression that it was.

As an unlicensed series it does not have any estimated date of release.

Please show your support in the established suggestion topic, linked right above this topic.

    Thank you

With everything fixed, lets see what the extras are this time!

    Lessy and Me

Aw, we almost had a Lessy with indicator lights and a flashing tail!

    Lessy and Ferdinand

We have seen what it takes to terrify even the Lord of Evil himself! I think I'll call it the Pooeymobile ๐Ÿ˜Ž

    All to See Myne

Another Tuuli POV! This time, showing the etiquette lessons she needed to reunite with Rozemyne post-adoption. And that Lutz was slipping Tuuli notes on how to stand out in the Gilberta company!

@karasutengu Oh sorry, I forgot to tell you back then. I had been watching Tenchi Muyo Ryo Ohki part 7 after Mihoshi asked Tokini what kind of reasons she had for attending Rea's wedding. Tokini's answer came with a priceless finger-wag, "Not - Telling". That was the end of the questions.

@elkensteyin said in Bookworm Royal Academy Stories - First Year:

Do we know if there are any more upcoming volumes to this?

There are no additional Royal Academy Stories volumes in Japan. It's plausibly something Miya Kazuki could write more of in the future, but the Short Story Collections took over a lot of their purpose of giving print and non-Japanese readers access to some of the webnovel side stories (at a reduced workload since she didn't write a bunch of new content to go in them).

close to my heart / never to part (P5V6, Myne & Elvira)

    Summary:

    โ€œSo then, you knew that โ€“ that Iโ€™m โ€“โ€
Her voice trembled and she took a breath, leading Elvira to nod and finish off the sentence โ€“ but it had only been a brief pause, not a conversational cue, and thus the two of them ended up speaking at the same time.
    โ€œโ€“ a commoner, yes.โ€
    โ€œโ€“ from another world?โ€

Rozemyne is now Aub Alexandria, but she's still registered with Ehrenfest's foundation

This unusual circumstance may allow for Remote Toad Execution

So it's really just "quickly closed"

...well, literally really "I quickly close..." because in Japanese Bookworm actually uses non-past in narration as well as the past...

    Hello,

The color illustrations are available in the versions purchased directly from J-Novel Club.

Just to make sure you are downloading the ebook and not trying to look at them through the pre-pub parts?

The pre-pub parts do not have those illustrations they are only available in the final ebook.

He's using it to test her reaction, which is why he only gives her droplets. The stronger the negative reaction, the stronger the gods' influence (possibly because their mana is so different and/or because they hate Ferdinand specifically).

As had been expected of her, Heidemyne had passed all of the paper exams on the first day of the respective classes. This threshold was arguably a bit harder to meet than during her mother's or even father's day, what with the greater proliferation of teaching materials sold by Ehrenfest and Alexandria, with the Royal Academy having to increase its own standards to not waste the higher baseline its students were achieving. Of course it could not raise those levels too high too quickly, lest students from the poorer duchies be left at too great a disadvantage, but the materials covered in even the first year course were undoubtedly more advanced than before.

Now the school term had moved onto practical classes, of which today was the making of one's high beast. And whereas previous such practical magic courses had one, maybe two professors overseeing them, for some reason it looked as if half the faculty was present. How strange.

"Lady Heidemyne, are you ready?" one of the professors called out.

"Yes," Heidemyne said, stepping up and taking out her feystone.

With practiced ease, she molded the feystone into the form of her high beast, a driveable model in the form of a shumil with a crystal embedded on its forehead.

"Oh, you did that quite quickly," the professor said. "Mayhap you have had prior practice with this?"

Heidemyne shrugged. "My mother often ferried me around in her high beast, so I was well familiar with the feel of one even before being given a stone to dye."

"Ah yes, your lady mother," the professor said, and for some reason Heidemyne found herself disliking the older woman's tone. "She certainly had a...unique high beast. It is good that you have adopted a more...conventional shape."

Dislike spiked into outright irritation, but Heidemyne kept her face composed with a serene smile, albeit one that did not reach her eyes.

"Personally I have always appreciated Lessy's features," Heidemyne responded. "If one looks closely, there are many attributes that are of very...practical utility."

    The professor blinked. "Practical...utility?"

"Quite," Heidemyne said, continuing to smile. "Indeed, I would not be my mother's daughter if I did not carry on at least some of her traditions. Here, let me show you my high beast's [battle mode]."

With that, the previously gentle looking shumil head morphed into that of a [lesser panda], while its fluff of a button tail elongated into a fully bush. Gasps were already sounding, but the real consternation started when Heidemyne had her high beast open its mouth, revealing a row of sharp fangs. The professor overseeing Heidemyne's practical gaped at the high beast crouching as if it was preparing to pounce, then promptly toppled back in a dead faint.

"Urgent message for Lord Ferdinand and Lady Rozemyne from the royal academy," the scholar-official said as she hurried into the aub's office.

The archducal couple looked up from their work.

"Did something happen with Heidemyne?" Myne asked, brow furrowed in worry.

Due to being closer, the paper was handed to Ferdinand first, who after reading it over gave a snort.

"It seems Heidemyne really is your daughter," he said. "There is a complaint from the Immerdink dormitory manager that she was attacked by Heidemyne's high beast. Fortunately, the other professors present are all willing to attest that the woman only fainted due to surprise." A pointed look was cast at his wife. "I told you it was a bad idea to teach her how to make a grun transformation."

"Consider this further reason for you to hurry up with the domestication program to turn gruns into proper [lesser pandas]," was Myne's utterly unapologetic response.

I get that this giant magic circle's ultimate goal is to drain divine mana from the gremlin but I am not actually certain what the function of the circle above Alexandria is going to be ? Was it repairing the damaged part of the city or doing something else entirely ? Has anyone got a clear idea?
