    My coding experience, what there was of it, is some 30 years out of date, so take the following with a grain of salt when it comes to how it would be implemented.

    It looks like the JNC search engine searches specified fields using a strict character by character match, but allowing anything beyond the final character of the search string to be considered a match when compared to the database contents.
    If the search string is five characters, it'll compare the first five characters of the proper field in all relevant records and so long as those five characters match return that record as a 'hit'. A blank character, or lack of characters entirely, does not count as a match, so a five character search string will never return a four character entry.
    Thus, a search for Toshizo will return both Toshizo and Toshizou, while searching Toshizou will exclude Toshizo as it doesn't have the requisite 'u'.

    All the possible solutions I can think of require a pre-filter that search strings pass through before actually searching the database.
    I'm working on the presumption that all searches funnel back into the same search engine after passing through the pre-filter, as there are no permanent relations being established within the database proper between variant spellings. [the database structure itself remains unchanged].
    A search string gets entered, and is compared to a list maintained in a pre-filter.
    If the search string finds a match, it truncates the search string to one which will pull up all variant spellings based upon information stored within the pre-filter [either using a truncate command if the language supports such, or saying "use this stored search string instead"].

    It's a non-trivial task to set up and maintain such a thing, which makes it a rather low priority in comparison to other web site improvements under consideration at this time.

    @flarecde I see what you mean but the :hover is really hard to locate where you left hehehe

    I mean if they already have the information of the percentange you have read maybe a little bar over the part showing this percentage bigger or just a completion bar like the mobile could be more useful.

    For me it sounds like a 2 hour change but you never known xD

    @Firstname-Lastname-8pup8tp I figure such a thing is unlikely to be profitable to JNC (they'd likely need to pay an additional license fee in order to print the original Japanese text too, so it's not "free").

    I do know there are some dual language manga (Chobits is the only one coming to mind?) listed on the Japanese version of bookwalker if you think this is something that'd help you learn. I think their main purpose was more for JP readers trying to learn English than vice versa, so you'll probably have to look at things marketed to the JP audience rather than EN one.

    @admin I'm sorry to hear what you are going through.
    I hope it gets resolved. I self publish on Barnes and Noble. So I don't know everything with how big publishers publish through them.

    I see a lot of the books are back now, but I guess they have different isbn-13 is different now.

    @Kurzaa Never tried it as I am not reading books on other device.

    I only use my phone for the prepubs (and in cases where I am strapped for packing space to read on the road some books I have stored in ibooks) and mainly my kindle. And as I have it mainly in airplane mode I never get to try whispersync (even without this mode I could not really try it as I don't even have the kindle app installed).

    @Geezer-Weasalopes That was actually reported on the discord a couple of days ago, it's on their list of things to fix now, it's supposed to save what you selected.

    @rsog412 I'm not sure if it's something they can adjust, but I believe the login session is exactly 2 weeks, so if you have a routine, you might want to just incorporate logging out and then logging back in to it, that way you'll start each Monday with a new session.

    @Kurzaa
    Email support@j-novel.club with errors and corrections to published works; they'll forward it to the appropriate staff.

    It's just that they won't get error reports sent via the retailers any longer.
    J-novel is really nice in that there are ways set up for folks to contact them directly with stuff, unlike a number of the other publishers in this specific field.

    @draconis72000 Not sure if this would work for your second request, but you can click Follow on a title in which case you can filter on the calendar and series pages to only show series you are following.

    I just got the series Lazy Dungeon Master (all 16 so far). It would be nice if the Series Metadata could be added on JNC's end so I don't need to use Calibre to add after download to make them line up better in my Library of ebooks.
    Please and Thank You

    @chocolatkey

    Since I posted this, I attached a larger, external monitor. There was also a reader or Firefox (or both?) update that now lets me "zoom" the image and fiddle with the image size to make it more comfortable. It's really wonky, and I would still prefer a more explicit image size control (still a fan of setting image width to browser window width).

    This is also entirely based on personal preferences, comfort level, and hardware, so not sure how well this will come across in screen shots.

    I expanded FF on Windows to vertically fill the screen and adjusted the browser width. I used windows snipping screenshot of the window, so the image size is the window size: too big and too small.

    The "too big" image is large enough that I still have to physically move my head back to comfortably view. On my monitor, the manga image is about 9.5 inches across.

    If I make the window width 3 pixels smaller, the manga image drops to 6.75 inches across. This is readable on my larger monitor, but I wish it was just a bit larger.
