A novel version of To Love Ru Darkness, with colored and newly drawn illustrations! Momo, Nana, Yui, Mikan... these secret stories of little sisters with exclusive details can only be read in this novel! My Thoughts
Again, I feel like I shouldn't have to do much to sell this. To Love Ru and Yabuki are both huge names, and it's crazy to me that the 2nd of only 2 light novels for the franchise also hasn't been licensed in English yet. You would think Seven Seas would license it (given that they got both of the To Love Ru manga series, DarliFra, & AyaTri), but they haven't! If working with Shueisha is possible, then JNC could swoop in and give it to us! Noteably, there's not an English fan translation, despite multiple posts asking about it on Reddit. Demand but no supply (yet). I want to read this! And plenty of the many To Love Ru fans out there certainly feel similarly. -
Wouldn’t this be more up Seven Seas’s alley?
-
@Torka I mean yes, I specifically mention them in the other post. But they havent licensed it, and it is a light novel, so why not ask JNC too? There's nothing to lose if the goal is reading them in English.

@SUPER7X Provided you go in with low expectations of it ever happening, sure.
If Seven Seas hasn't licensed these, that probably means the TLR manga didn't sell enough for them to think the novels are worth the effort. They already licensed the novel stories for Magus Bride and MonMusu, so we know they're willing when it comes to their hot sellers.
And if TLR isn't pulling in the numbers, why would JNC want it?Maybe I'm wrong and TLR did have decent enough sales. In that case, Seven Seas would be much more likely to get these novels instead of JNC anyway...

Why would I have anything else? Lol.
As for sales, given that Seven Seas licensed Yabuki's other series, Darling in the Franxx, and even nabbed the Ayakashi Triangle license from VIZ, it's probably safe to say that To Love Ru & To Love Ru Darkness didnt sell poorly. Tho yes, they presumably they didnt sell well enough to justify immediately licensing the light novels.
why would JNC want it?
Because I want to buy it and read it! Because other people want to buy it and read it! Lol.
In that case, Seven Seas would be much more likely to get these novels instead of JNC anyway...
Again, there's literally no harm in asking JNC to get it, so I dont see your point. I'm not claiming it's likely to happen.
