I met my childhood friend again, and she had become a beautiful and innocent girl.“It’s been a while, Hayato."
“Haruki, is it?"In the past, I used to play in the mud with my childhood friend in the countryside, and when I saw him again, there was no trace of the bratty young man I thought he was back then. Only in front of Hayato, she threw away the coat she was wearing and reacted in the same crass way she did back then. The distance between you and me has not changed.
My Thoughts
As I further deepen my addiction to fluffy romcom series, I bring you yet another recommendation. It's a fun, cute and fluffy series. It's good, I don't really know what else to say other than it has everything you'd want from a fluffy romcom series. -
Yes more fluff please

Oh hey, that same messed up google “translation” they’re using on NU. I highly doubt she used to think she was a boy for one thing.
DeepL produces a much more sensible rendition: “The Neat and Pretty Girl at My New School is a Childhood Friend Who I Used to Play With Thinking She Was a Boy.” -

@facelessone that's a cute illustration but it makes me worry that if she keeps horsing around the bottom of her bikini is going to come off

Volume 4 Cover (Released April 1, 2022.)
Volume 5 Cover (Released July 29, 2022.)
The manga for this series is really good, so I'd definitely be interested in a license for the light novel (and the manga too ofc).

Necrobump here because it got an anime announcement today
I know that JNC is no stranger to picking up series with anime soon - see the most recent licensing picks - so maybe???

I think a better translation of the title would be:
The beautiful young lady at the school I transferred to was my childhood friend who I'd thought was a boy.
Something like that, anyway.
Presuming he's the one who changed schools, that is.
Ah. Per the MAL announcement of the anime, it's Tenkosaki: The Neat and Pretty Girl at My New School Is a Childhood Friend of Mine Who I Thought Was a Boy while ANN's anime announcement has it as The Neat and Beautiful Girl at My New School Was My Childhood Friend Whom I Thought Was a Boy and I Played Together With. (This last being the most "Japanese Light Novel Title" reading of them all; the longer and more descriptive the better.)Author: 雲雀湯 | Hibari, Yu (Per MAL & ANN)
Illustrator: シソ | Shiso, Siso, Sisoe | Twitter | Pixiv | Instagram | tumblr | Pawoo || ANN & MAL agree on that. MAL thinks this is also しらこみそ | Shirakomiso and without digging I can't confirm or deny; the tumblr URL does include sirakomiso for whatever that's worth. The LN's sixth volume was released December 2022, while April 7, 2023 saw the release of the third manga volume.
Bear in mind I put all of that together and then scrolled down and saw tons more messages and noted the date of the OP...

Sirako Miso looks to be an older name used by Siso, because https://www.pixiv.net/users/11331312 (Sirako Miso) redirects you to https://www.pixiv.net/en/users/944220 (Siso) -

Oddly enough, BakaUpdates has the primary entry under Shirakomiso with a link to the same tumblr but a different Twitter with very few posts, none of which relate to the trade...and the second Pixiv account created as a redirect for those who would know them under that name.
Funky.
More accurately, BakaUpdates used to have a link to a different Twitter...having just updated it to the one they use for official work that's no longer the case.

The Tumblr used to be Sirakoe before being renamed to Sisoe and since the dead redirect Pixiv is for Sirako Miso I just assumed it was the older one (the artist evidently favours Nihon-shiki romanisation, and I believe the -e in the site title is as in sumi-e rather than intended to be raed as part of their name) -

But I just had the thought that Pixiv accounts have a complete disconnect between display name and account number; the number is sequential and can't be changed under normal circumstances, while you can change the display name easily.
So without archival screenshots I can't say that the display names for the two Pixiv accounts haven't been changed, that the newer one might now have the display name that the older one had started with. It's possible. That would work with the premise that the newer account is working as a redirect for those seeking the name he'd previously gone by, while the main account uses the current nym.
