      @admin I was wondering how that might impact things like takedown notices and such, though the courts would have to work out who actually owns the copyright in example 1. Example 2 is far more clearcut if the sample set is the author's own work and is only used to assist rather than the total production based on illegally lifting other people's works.

      Safari on MacOS and iPad, JNC app on iPhone and iPad when in low-bandwidth areas. When switching frequently between devices, I'll sometimes get random logouts after less than a day. Two weeks? Ahahahahahahahahahah. Dream on.

      I've reported this before, but stopped because it didn't seem to do any good.

      @MonoKono said in Website suggestions:

      Connect series to a forum thread about them. So I can immediately jump over and read reactions and thoughts after finishing a chapter or a book.

      Series already do this, there's a "discuss on forums" button on each series page (right under the follow button) that takes you to the Vol 1 discussion of the respective series (may not work quite so well on the oldest of series where forum discussion topics were less standardized than they are now). Clicking the forums button on the reader takes you to the discussion topic for the volume you're reading (there is a bit of funkiness if you change volumes within the reader and it may take you to the topic for whichever volume you originally clicked on).

      First item I don't think is supported by the web site at the moment and would be a low priority item. Second item based on the livestream last week they didn't have the metrics for until just recently.

      Agree with the third option, though I hate infinite scrolling, so I'd rather the fixed amount be increased if it can't be set from a pick list.

      I don't really agree with 4 since that could get confusing for people who are looking into the series and might want to start from the beginning or if a series is on catchup, if you're looking for the latest available pre-pub, it's better to just use the calendar.

      @myskaros I have that one perma-open! (:

      It's still a pretty rough guess; Endo&Kobayashi expires today (and I've just read it because it popped up in that thread) but the last chapter was published almost two months ago. If there was a way to check for volumes by date of completion instead of date of expiry it would be swell.

      @jpwong I tried on my iPad, Amanda the 1 2 switch only seems to affect manga, not novels, unfortunately. It also only shows up for novels if you choose pagination rather than infinite scrolling.

      This is a feature I’d really love for tablets. I like how the Kindle app has done it as it’s much better line lengths for larger screens. At this point with the current app, I read novels on my phone and manga on the iPad due to having either too long a line length or too big a font on the iPad.

      I've noticed the issue and if it bugs me enough, I'll edit the file name to add that leading zero. That seems to satisfy MoonReader+'s sitting algorithm.

      @TheGrimLich not really. It tell you there multiple people into the mc. But that say noting about actual polygamy. I recently found out some novel here that I been ignoring have polygamy. So I buying them. Like book having mature tag helps but it doesn't help people like me. I want certain elements in my books that I read. The only way to find out is asking around. But the problem is that lead to more spoilers. That not problem for me but is not ideal.

      Scribd looks suspect as heck, yes.
      And I'm pretty sure some stuff there is suspect.
      There's a reason they have that DMCA takedown request link, they acknowledge that some who place items for sale via them don't have the proper rights to do so.

      In this case...
      The question has been raised in the forums previously.
      J-Novel does use Scribd as one of their retail sites.
      But they'd rather you asked when it's legit than not ask when it turns out to not be legit, so you done good by checking.

      for PC at least you can mouse over the part numbers to see what your progress was through it. If 0, you probably haven't read that one yet. Obviously not a great solution, but helpful as a workaround.

      I've wanted something like that as well, so I just tried it on PC (Windows 10) with chrome and that doesn't work for me.

      @olee92 said in Better discoverability needed search/reviews/user suggestions sorely needed.:

      Even just allowing to order the list of novels by number of followers / readers would be a huge improvement imho and it would be something that could be added with little effort to the site.

      I agree it could be a nice improvement.

      Speaking as a programmer, though, be careful about throwing around bits like 'could be added with little effort'. Depending on how the site backend is put together, it might be easy... or it might involve Rube Goldberg-esque contortions to get the 'number of follows' information into a space where it can be used by the 'sort series' code.

      Even without allowing to order the list by these numbers, just showing them on the results page / detail page would help a lot.

      Again, it depends on how easy it is to access that information from the appropriate pages.

      Sometimes the backend design makes that easy. Sometimes it isn't.

      on the top of the homepage (HOME SERIES CALENDAR FORUMS USER) just add "news" and have it link to the newsletter that is emailed (and have forward/back button on the news section to see previous newsletters)

      no re-inventing the wheel or specific formats
      no (for me) digging thru my inbox for the newsletter
      news/announcements for those who want it without having to look too hard

      (edited to add) a regular schedule of newsletters would be nice also - i.e. newsletters are biweekly unless it's an 'off schedule' announcement - maybe have an icon when a new newsletter is posted?
