@unowhoitis From what someone told me they aren't the ones making the audio books. Some other company buy the right to be able to make the audio books.

@redmasq said in Adding an audiobook filter to the series page:

As a separate note, I like the premium ebooks provided on the website: if licensing allows, I would like to eventually see DRM-free mp3 or ogg format audiobooks.

Some of the audiobooks are already available DRM free, it just depends on which store you buy them from (which of course is impacted by which company is producing the audiobook as I believe at least one company JNC is partnered with only releases their audiobooks on Audible). Slayers is available on Downpour and Libro.fm, DRM free audiobook platforms, so I'd expect the other JNC direct productions to go there, and it seems all the ones produced by Tantor Media are there too. Not sure on the format options available there though.

Slayers: Volume 1 by Hajime Kanzaka is now available as a DRM-free mp3 audiobook on Downpour.com

The publisher is listed as "Findaway World". I did some searches for that publisher and "light novel" and "Young Adult Fiction" and found some more audiobook light novels by J-Novel Club and Seven Seas. Findaway publishes other audiobooks too.
