He was absent in Discord for a whole month as well.

Not actually a part of the nasu-verse
Soundalike title? Bake-something or other? Something-Monogatari?
Nasuverse (Nasu Kinoko) is Tsukihime/Fate/Mahoutsukai/etc. Bakemonogatari is NisiOisin.
Ah, whoops.
Even better for me (I like Fate). Those designs kind of looked like Tohsaka in one of the guesses above.
-
Please let"Ironically it doesn't need a club" be Gamers, I need that series on my tablet.
-
So series dealing with summoning:
Fate/Zero (the "not the Nasu-verse" clue is misdirection)
Zero no Tsukaima (summoning gone wrong for one hapless schmuck)
Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts!Doesn't need a club:
Is there a novel equivalent to The Going Home Club?
Maybe something about a club that doesn't really exist like Haganai, or is forced into existence like Kokoro Connect? -
on the "Not actually a part of the Nasu-verse"... my bets are on either Fire Girl or DDD. Both are Type-Moon works but not actually part of the Nasu-verse, also, the hint could be pointing to Fire Girl since it was not written by Nasu (unlike DDD, but it could be just wishful thinking, I want more BUNBUN art in my life)
And for "finally a female protagonist"... PLEASE BE BLACK HEALER!!! I know there's plenty of others but I need Black Healer XD
-
@the-green-death Sorry I really should read the forums more but I'm trying to focus on more important work stuff.
-
@hatguy12 I was in the US for family issues for 2 weeks and then after coming back I've tried to focus on some person things like cleaning my apartment and getting my life back into a reasonable state, as I've been neglecting that.
I'm now back in a better place on most standpoints and can start pressing forward more, though I do plan on limiting my forum participation comparatively.
-
@sam-pinansky Just as long as someone is around to check on the Support forum regularly!
And glad to hear you're taking care of yourself. One's most important business asset is oneself after all. -
Ooh, new hints to speculate on! "Not actually a part of the nasu-verse" makes me think DDD - as much as I want Kara no Kyoukai, it is definitely tied in with his other major works. My brother will be very happy if it's DDD since he's wanted to read it for ages. :)
Regarding the "female protagonist", I would love it if it was Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami butttt it's published by Kadokawa so I'm not holding out much hope. Still, fingers crossed!
-
@eternal-wanderer I just started watching the anime. I'd love to see Gamers get translated.
-
@sam-pinansky totally fair. Work/life balance is important and it sounds like you were going really full on for a long time here. We all appreciate the heck out of what you do and J-Novel and though I'll miss your being as regular a presence on here, as long as you and he company are healthy - it's no big deal.

Finally a female protagonist!
Was just chatting with a friend who wants Black Healer and when I thought about this hint, I realized that we already have a series with a female protagonist.
- UchiMusume features Dual-Protagonists of Latina and Dale.
- Paying to Win in a VRMMO actually has the female protagonists take the main role more than the Young Heir.
-
@aruseus493 Marie is also the co-protagonist of Clockwork Planet.

Nobody knew summoning could be so complicated
I am gonna say Wortenia Senki for this one which is a HJ novel I requested a few months ago. MC gets summoned, kills his summoners, and runs off. I can't think of anything else that fits better for this clue .
-
I'm with @myskaros on Slavemagic for the summoning one, both with Seven Seas just picking up the manga and more importantly their title for it.
The only other one I have an immediate idea for is the female protagonist, because it came up in the license requests forum: Kuro no Iyashi Te.
It is actually quite hard to find decent female protagonists who aren't originally men before reincarnation and where the cover doesn't also look like an otome game (yes, I know I'm picky) and while I know I've found others, I'm blanking on them. -
Female Protagonist could be Eru from Knight's & Magic where its a running gag for people to mistake him for a girl.

That'd be such a troll. =P
-
@village-idiot LOL that kind of makes sense xD
-
It also makes sense for JNC to grab it assuming that one of the new publishers they've signed up with is Shufunotomo.
K&M is (IIRC) the most popular anime on Crunchyroll this season.

Lol, did we both come up with the same idea, or did you read the google doc linked on /r/LightNovels?
