@Rahul-Balaggan We pretend that you didn´t swear, cuz I can feel it. I will be not able lost my precious collection too :D
Well, at least we know how it is now. Thanks for the info actually. -
I wonder if were going to get some new acquisitions soon, after all, J novel club is beginning to get caught up on a few of its series such as Realist Hero and Mixed Bathing. If they do grab some new licenses to replace those series I hope its something I've never heard of. Nothing against licensing series with popular anime but it really fun when you have something entirely new.
-
If there are any new licenses coming down please consider announcing them during Anime Expo (July 1 - July 4)
You guys might not be attending (this year) but all the other companies will be announcing stuff so you know peer pressure.
-
@Rahul-Balaggan When it comes to press, why announce during Anime Expo if we're not there? All it would do is get our announcement scrolled off the headlines faster.
Better to wait the week after.

@Sam-Pinansky Alrighty boss man
-
@Sam-Pinansky Makes a lot of sense, indeed.
-
Every time this thread gets updated in the feed it gets my hopes up :(
-
@Sasha-McGlynn Tweeted "???" as one of her current J-Novel Projects. Sounds like another announcement is around the corner.

@lazyproblems
Sweet, I've been worried about how we're starting to catch up on a number of series. -
Same, and that worried me as this place is great and I want it to succeed.
Glad to see Smartphone and Infinite Dendo's next volumes being done now too. :)
-
I am so behind on almost everything that I don't even know if that's a good thing for me. I still need to check out the last 2 new series that we got (not counting Clockwork Planet), but for that, I want to catch up on older titles first. Help
Jokes aside, it would be great if it was a new series. It seems that J-Novel is more or less starting to get close to finish translating some titles and catching up on some of them. So a new series is great, I probably won't read it right away, but that way it will have a couple volumes when I finally start it which is also great

I'm way behind too, though some series I'm just going to skip until a free week of prepubs (Saved too Many Girls, Isekai Smartphone, maybe even Arifureta and Bluesteel).
I was a bit bored looking at the current light novel line up on that English Light Novel database site, and really struggled looking for a new series to try (Asterisk War? I hear it's meh and not as good as the other light novel turned anime with similar designs Chivalry of a Failed Knight), so I could use something new.
-
@terrence I decided to skip some series entirely and others I will do like you and wait for a free week to read them. In the beginning, I was reading a lot of them not because I enjoyed them, but because I could and wanted to read everything before expiring. Then I started reading them by the ebooks and I find it more enjoyable since I only buy the ones that I like (some exceptions).
I don't necessarily need something new, but is more than welcome
-
@pmf96 I read more by Ebook now too, though with Paying to Win and Insekai Smartphone I am trying to read prepubescent as I don't know that I want to pay for either but find them entertaining reads all the same ( and I want to get some mileage out of my premium membership!)
-
@terrence I am in the minority as I like Asterisk War because it's breezy and surprisingly fun despite its reliance on tropes. I'll usually read the latest volume within a month of release.
-
@the-green-death I'm buying Paying to win since is short, up to 5/6 volumes I think... and I do enjoy it. Not much though.
I was considering dropping Smartphone, but one comment that I saw on YouTube left me curious to read volume 3.overall, despite me not reading the prepubs I feel like I have not been spending that much money. I try to buy at least 2 credis a month, which goes around $23 with the premium membership. That gives me 3 credits, where each e-book costs less than $8. I think that's good. And the more I buy the less each e-book costs
-
@pmf96 $8 a pop isn't too much and it is nice to support J-Novel so I may follow suit with how you do it. 3 a month is probably how many I'll go through anyhow.
Just out of curiosity (not to go too far off the rails in this thread) but which titles do you follow?
-
@the-green-death Well, I usually try to start the series that are still being published or almost catching up, after some time. It kinda is one of the reasons that I'm quite behind in them.
Well, the last that I read was volume 4 of Mixed bathing. I say this a lot, but is a series that I enjoy way more than I should... also I just realized that I caught up, and it seems that J-Novel also already caught up. I had not realized this. Really should have started it later
