@DTTA Right now the web view's size is fixed once it goes beyond a certain size. When I make a new version of the web viewer I think I might make it resizable up to double the resolution it current does.

@Rahul-Balaggan As you can probably imagine the overhead of having many small investors can get overwhelming quickly.
At some point you're better doing like a kickstarter type thing, but for me I've always held the philosophy that if it takes 3-4 years of losses to make a business profitable than you are probably not doing it right in the first place.... The whole silicon valley "growth at any cost", "spend the VC while it lasts" mindset is kind of anathema to me. I want to spend funds I have on content, then spend the proceeds on that content on more content, and reach a sustainable output and input level, with as little waste and fixed costs as possible. Does it limit our short term growth potential? Perhaps, but I'd rather keep 100% ownership and grow slowly than mortgage away the business to gain a quick 1000 subs from $100,000 worth of advertising or something.

@Ztshp I've disabled downvoting and also disabled any "minimum reputation" requirements on the forum software, so right now all it does is give people a way to "thumbs up" other people's posts.

@eSPiYa Hey I'm not staff or anything but I may be able to answer a couple of your questions.

The first one depends on how you subscribed. Currently there is a "regular" and a "premium" subscription. If you subscribed for the premium member, then you receive a premium credit once a month, every 15th of the month. This credit can then be used to purchase the E-Book through this website, otherwise you are welcome to purchase the E-books through other distributors that J-Novel Club has connections to. I don't know them all off hand, but Amazon is one of them. If you would like to purchase additional premium credits, I believe the option is available now to purchase one for $6 through your account page.

In regards to your 2nd question, once you purchase the E-Book it should be available to download from your account library (assuming you buy it from here). After that, connecting it to whatever E-Book reader you're using should allow you to read it offline (I imagine). I'm not too knowledgeable in this area so you may want to confirm with someone with more experience.

Lastly, anything you purchased from this website is available for download so you can reread whenever you like. As for if you forget to download it and your subscription ends, I don't believe that makes a difference as it should already be purchased and linked to your account.

Hopefully that helps a bit with your questions.

It removed you from the Premium Members group but failed to add you to the Members group for some reason, that was the error you saw. It doesn't attempt to do this until after the subscription goes through obviously, so I should make sure to figure out what is going wrong with the Member group adding and in addition add a sanity check before creating a new subscription that you don't already have an active one.

I actually built the system to be able to handle multiple subscriptions on the same account simultaneously... (like for example if, in the future, we have separate subscriptions for josei novels or R-18 novels... something like that?), but it's not really practically useful right now.

It was a boneheaded error on my part, my apologies. (At least it was trivial to debug, just forgot to call the next() function!)

As a premium member I don't see a problem with selling credits to non-members. Maybe at a price premium over Amazon/etc. I still /hope/ I would get a discount as a subscriber.

Considering that you don't have to split the income for native sales it seems like too good an opportunity to pass up.

Second I think I found a work around to this problem, this glitch seems to occur if I leave my tablet on for long periods of time, however if I reset it that seems to fix the problem. Sorry about all my complaining when the actual solution was so simple.

Honestly it boggles my mind how finicky ebook apps and devices can be.

I just recently had a similar issue, because there is no "read" notice I open up the older parts to see if they are at the bottom, and today I open one that I know I've read and it's at the top

As long as you aren't distributing it to other people, your epub is yours to do with as you please!

So yeah, feel free to print it out.

@ImIlyaz Yup! If you're never going to use the reader or apps and just want the epubs, then go buy them. You'll be able to purchase premium credits to buy epubs directly from us soon, too (although you won't get as good a price as Premium Members would).

Thanks. It worked like a charm. And after all that, I think the browser version, even on the tablet, fits my reading style better. But it's good to have options.

It randomly happens to me too, dozen of times already, lol. I use Firefox tho.
