Bye for now you legend. Thanks for all your have contributed over the years. I joined around 13 months before you but it feels like you've always been around. Good luck with work and your other endeavours.
Getting behind on pre-pubs is something I've had trouble with in the past. My general approach to dealing with this:
I won't start a new series until I am up to date on a currently followed series. Or, if I pick one up I decide that if I like it I'll drop one I'm no longer looking forward to reading to make space. If I'm 3 parts behind on a series I make a decision whether to prioritise it and catch up or drop it I usually avoid reading volume summaries but if I'm thinking about dropping a series I'll read it (and sometimes reviews of future volumes if they are out in Japan) to see if it looks like it'll get better. It usually doesn't convince me to stay, except once when it turned out it would have a decent ending in a volume ofr two so you decided it was worth sticking with it. If it comes in catch-up I might check out the discussions to see if it's worth giving another try. It usually isn't, but knowing this is an option makes it easier to overcome the fear of missing out.
