@tgquan67 you should start a thread to report issues to :-) I know Bookworm and I Refuse to Be Your Enemy! don’t work.

Thanks, you are absolutely right! I know it, but missed due to first experience.

Now waiting for response from my local publisher and Japanese agency...

There's only 2 series so far that I have dropped and not got back in to.
First is Little Apocalypse. I have read 10 volumes of that and haven't read any more for about 6 months. I took a break on it as well after 4 or 5 volumes as well. I find that the way that the series is written with introducing 3-4 new girls every volume to become overwhelming. Way too many characters to remember and I find that the structure of the stories are too similar so that all the volumes seem like the same story with a different setting. I'll probably get around to finishing it at some point, but it's very low on the list of things to read.
The other is Ascendance of a Bookworm. I've read the first 2 volumes, and I have the 3rd as well, but I found it hard to enjoy the series. I don't particularly like Myne as a character and the story it self hasn't been very interesting. I don't usually mind a slow story, but it needs to have something else to go with it like humour to keep me interested in progressing the story, but this one hasn't really done it for me. I might get around to more of it at some point, but it's even lower on the list than Little Apocalypse.

@serah Smartphone comes out in Japan fairly regularly. Other titles, not so much.

Grimgar, released 14+, 14++, and 15 fairly close together. JNC is in process of translating 14++ now. I almost expect 16 to be out before 15 is finished.

Mixed Bathing and Otherworld Magic both went well over a year between volumes. Both series easily caught up to Japan.

That doesn't even consider the normal back and forth that goes on when licensing a new volume. Patience is a necessity. JNC is still faster and more consistent than some publishers.

I think it's a mistake to assume that all isekai need to be self insertion power fantasies. Grimgar is not a feel good story about some sniveling neet going on a hero's journey and becoming a God in another world with waifu hanging off both arms, but rather a rather disturbing and more realistic look at flawed people doing their best in crappy situations and failing as often as they succeed. If you really look at Grimgar this is not a hero's story at all, but rather the story of sympathetic villains selling their asses as mercenaries in a racial cleaning war to survive.

If your looking for a shounen power fantasy or simple black and white morality this is not the series you should be reading. Not all stories need to about the characters' growth as a human beings. There are are plenty of very well regarded stories about precisely the opposite. For instance Moby Dick is the story of a man destroying himself and everything he loved over his all consuming obsession with vengeance.

@melting-sky Yeah it's exactly that, normally each catch up should last for a month but usually they're a bit longer sometimes going on for multiple months.
To know what's on catch up you can either look on the forum for a post like this one:
    https://forums.j-novel.club/topic/2795/stock-up-on-fantasy-in-december-s-catchups
or you can look in the news section at the bottom of the front page of the main site (which is, in my opinion, the easiest way since catchup content is, with new license announcements, the only info put there).

I use the pro version of Moon+ Reader on my Android tablet. On PC, calibre would probably be the most obvious solution. However, almost all e-reader applications (be it on mobile or PC) should be able to read .epub files (at least as long as they don't have DRM, which the files from JNC do not), because epub is the standard format that's used by almost everyone other than Amazon.

    Possible...?

    Yes

    Probable...?

    Not so much.

Basically there is a possibility that JNC can acquire that title just not a very high one...for now at least.

JNC doesn’t have any existing relationship with GA Bunko, SB Creative, or Softbank, YP does so it is more probable for them to get it.

However there is always a chance, for now you can show your support in the Suggestion Topic, and who knows maybe we get lucky...

The easiest way to know likely is to directly ask Sam on Curious Cat.
But it seems like they do take into account prepub readers https://curiouscat.me/jnovelclub/post/872951566

@terabyte Thank you so much for that and sorry for a late reply. I haven't checked this forum in a hot minute. I just verified that info and it is indeed correct. Maybe my memory has been wrong, but I feel like it use to say just Premium on there instead of In Library. Either way, I am thankful for that feature. Thank you again

@mirage_gsm The discussion topics are USUALLY created when the first part goes up, by whoever is posting the volume. Occasionally not (only saw it once myself). They determine where THEY think the "appropriate section" is.

The thing about looking for them is that sometimes they fall far off the first page of "Recent", because there may be no activity for a few days (weeks?). And we have how many active volumes right now? A lot.

For me, it's sometimes faster to go find the link Rahul illustrated.

@paul-nebeling Probably, but that the case for any books, it's not a delay due to licensing one book at a time like it's apparently the case for the other series.

@legitpancake I'm reading Daimaou. In fact, it was one of the first volumes I purchased, back in the days before catchup. Hard to believe, but there's a few long-running series about to wrap up:

Demon King Daimaou For My Daughter Little Apocalypse
and for good measure, I'll throw in My Little Sister Can Read Kanji

@sam-pinansky said in Question about Premium Credit after Premium ends:

@ashark71 @Rahul-Balaggan is correct but just to be official, yes: credits are tied to the account, not the status, so any credits you've accumulated will stay around for as long as the account exists.
You can redeem credits as a member or premium member through the site, but as hinted above it's possible to do it even when you are not with a direct link to the redeem page.

Assuming you're not trying to keep the fact credits do not expire along with the premium membership hidden it would be nice if the FAQ (https://j-novel.club/faq) was updated as the existing wording is quite misleading.
