@Aruseus493 said in Crunchyroll Lowers Video Bitrates For Shows After Release Day:
It's just PR. It wasn't a new issue, it's just that their greed has gotten so bad that it was affecting the simulcast viewers more obviously.
There were some comments from CR suggesting that it's not the case and you should probably wait (unsubscribing meanwhile would be justifiable too) for technical details. Dunno if you're supposed to fell better about that but apparently most of that regression was result of lots of technical mistakes rather than cost/quality decisions.
In case you find it unplausible, let me remind you that funimation serves 64kbps audio regardless of video bitrate which goes up to 10Mbps (i.e. in 1080p case they are "saving" 10MB per 1.6GB episode by making audio sound really bad), this audio was the only option for watching in UK and watching via apps for almost a year and it was already reported last summer.

My Love Story
She disliked them all
I love Ancient Magus Bride but I felt Romance with Sci-Fi especially Dark Sci-Fi would automatically make my sister say no.
The only problem with comedy is that a lot of those comedy manga make jokes involving Japanese culture or media.
Like in monthly girls nozaki-kun that bicycle joke about not having 2 people on a bike together, she would probably yell at me saying how am I suppose to understand that.
Speaking about GoodNight PunPun I personally find it scary to read. So I can see how others may be put off.
Also definitely go read A Brides story again it's one of my personal top 5.
I'd just like to chime in with this good ol' article. That pretty much paints the picture that, yes. If you want a second season of your anime, you'd have to buy the blu-rays.
Now of course, there's probably some other interesting ideas other than that. For example, Light Novel second seasons are more likely to happen due to good sales of Light novels. Though maybe Sam could pitch in. I'm not sure how well Konosuba sold blu-ray wise, but it did increase the sales of the novel by threefolds.
