Seven Seas - April 2020 survey available!
-
I didn't pick a manga but for LN i went with
Koushaku Reijou no Tashinami
and
Tensei Shitara Ken Deshita
-
For manga, I would pick
- Tabi to Michizure
- Gunryoku no Shigure by Kou Yaginuma
For light novel
- Violet Evergarden
- Kamisama no Inai Nichiyoubi (Sunday Without God)
-
September's survey is up.
This time I requested:
Manga:- Watashitachi no Shiawase na Jikan
- Arte by Kei Ookubo
Light Novels:
-
- Manga
- LN
Kept Darwin's Game and Duke's Daughter (/vomit Asian Hobbyist), but decided to go all in on TSKD for the other two slots :3
Also updated the first post to show what 7S has licensed in terms of LNs and manga-adaptations of LNs, in case that helps people who want to vote for something that has a better chance of getting picked up.
-
I'm planning on going with:
Manga:
Sabagebu (Survival Game Club)
Cheerful Amnesia
https://bookwalker.jp/de88befa6a-68de-4e64-8d9c-f24118c164b6/?acode=WpfPW3yk(Remember Penalty School for October Survey)
Light Novel:
A Skeleton Who Was The Brave
https://bookwalker.jp/deebd19d8b-61f1-492d-9a6c-780680f077ec/?acode=WpfPW3ykClinical Psychology of Oni Iyo
https://bookwalker.jp/de2d0e6aca-bbc9-4ed1-b304-2f9d08bd59e0/?acode=WpfPW3yk -
The usual stuff:
-
Alright, I put my requests in (basically everything I requested here this month: Sabagebu, the two weight loss Isekai / reverse Isekai, and threw in Cheerful Amnesia).
-
October Survey is live.
I'm thinking about going with this one from Novel Zero, but I'm unsure what the English title would be (I of course post the Japanese title, but I like having an English equivalent in brackets).
Anyone have an on the spot translation?
父さんな、デスゲーム運営で食っているんだ
https://bookwalker.jp/de4d6be159-3fd0-406a-a6c1-9216e9a3f51b/?acode=WpfPW3ykGoogle has this garbled title:
"Dad, I'm eating in a des game game administration"
I assume it's something like "My dad is a death game Administrator", but it sounds like maybe the daughter wants to participate too? Idk.
I think I'll also go with Elf Inflation.
https://bookwalker.jp/de0d942da1-d721-4060-8a4a-0b7255bf0984/?acode=WpfPW3yk
Manga:
This one whose title I also can't decipher (it's got that "woman as the man, man carried by her against his will as the delicate flower" type trope, like Witchcraft Works)
高嶺の花なら落ちてこい！！

I really want someone to bring over the Shaman King Kanzenban edition.
Now that it's owned by Kodansha I was hoping they would announce an English release. But it's now four months later and we got nothing... -
- Manga
- LN
Slight change here; after Average Abilities's releases, I'd prefer someone else get the TSKD LN, but I figure Seven Seas could keep going with FUNA stuff.
-
Light Novels:
-
Kimi to Boku no Saigo no Senjou, Aruiwa Sekai ga Hajimaru Seisen
This one has 2 enemies waging a war for their land and falling in love with eachother - personal favorite. -
Akashic Records of the Bastard Magical Instructor
Well this one should be known enough
Manga:
-
Itou-kun wa Koi wo Shiranai
A very fluffy read IMO, a ghost comes to live in modern day Japan in the hopes of understanding emotiones, people - gets a girlfriend pretty soon and its about them, very enjoyable. -
Ojousama no Shimobe
A little bit of a ecchi manga - about a guy whose father is a butler and mother a maid - at some poin they both send him the Ojou-sama of their respective households and he needs to take care of both of them.
-
-
Manga:
Light Novel:
I almost went with something different for the light novels, but decided to stay unoriginal : )
-
I went with
Novels:
Kono Koi to, sono Mirai.
Denpa Onna to Seishun OtokoManga:
3-Gatsu no lion
Kanojo, Okarishimasu -
This post is deleted! -
I think I'll rec that new novel by the Welcome To The NHK author, "Light-Novel" (cheeky title). Haven't read much about it of course, just the author pedigree and that it releases in November. Yoshitoshi Abe (Serial Experiments Lain) did the cover.

Ended up going with:
Manga:
Gal Gohan
The Legendary MotherLight Novel:
The Magical Power of the Saint is All Around
Debating this final one. Thinking of going with "Twin Knights in the City of Love"
https://bookwalker.jp/de79d17639-420e-478f-b1a4-769c82425579/?acode=WpfPW3ykIf I want to be boring, I'll go with Sakurako-san again.
Light-Novel I'll save for when it is actually out I think.

I've voted for Gal Gohan a few times. I'm glad other people are as well! They probably wouldn't even need to put it in Ghost Ship since it's only slightly ecchi. Not on Yuuna & Hot Springs level.
Oh volume 5 just came out.. maybe I'll just get the Japanese print versions when I have the money..

Seven Seas is hiring LN translators for a fantasy series.
-
Maybe Skeleton Knight? 🤔
