A rather abrupt feeling start... I'll give it a couple more parts though, it's hard to judge manga after only one chapter.

Absolutely love the illustrations on pages 14 and 15 of Seika's ryuu "Mizuchi". Okazaki-san is a great artist.

      Silver Sugar Duchess

Guess what? Yesterday I‘ve finished reading the first volume of the manga, looking forward to the next one, then I see that the manga is COMPLETED with three volumes. That means it only adapts the very first light novel volume. I really hoped it would go longer… Now I‘m off to reading the novel, too!

Zagan proves he is capable of both properly and improperly reading a situation at the same time. It is fun to watch him go from reading everything correctly to taking a left into crazy conspiracy theory within a single conversation.

The hard part is there are only 2 volumes out in Japan. We got a ways to go on this one.

Not really, it's an axed manga. V2 released in 2021.

Ah, i didn't look into it. I just knew that there were 2 out.

      Hi,

I've purchased this Volume (2) from BOOKWALKER and I've noticed that from page 130 and onward, the right pages are bleeding onto the left pages. (See attached images in wetransfer)
Can this be fixed and updated on BOOKWALKER?

@Zerio Some characters notice Alia is a girl right away and some don't. The characters who do seem to have more intuition than the ones who don't notice it.

This manga's really changed from the start. Nanami's managed to mostly work through her anxiety, is going to school now, and meeting people other than Kaoru. Kaoru, in turn, hardly ever cross-dresses now. But in other ways, it never changed - there's still the usually four-page, slice of life chapters that are over almost before they start, but nevertheless still manage to get the mood of the moment across perfectly. It's never just about friendship and never quite about love, but it still really makes you nostalgic for being innocently in love again. It's so touching, and so good.

I have no idea how this manages to be almost too sweet all the time but never quite get there. And even though it only goes for the heart very rarely, when it does, it is merciless.
("What's this mark on the height ruler?" "That was my mom's height. It's hard to believe, but I'm taller than her now.")

Also, I love how the manga can do subtle when it wants to, like how Nanami's mom being aware and secretly being Kaoru's fan is never spelled out, or how the classmates keep being surprised that the duo are not actually dating.

@myskaros there doesn’t seem to be any issues with other manga. I tried shrinking the browser like you suggested and now I can read it. Thanks. I also wasn’t aware there’s an app 😲.

This was such a great volume!

Bordeaux seems like a great place to be - and a big part of that is that their leaders are not concerned with status and honor, but with the practicalities of being a country region. Like adventurers helping with city defense, and soldiers with monsters. Which, as it turns out, totally pisses off more traditional nobels, like a certain count Malta...

Charlotte's backstory is heartbreaking. There's very little explanation, just like a small kid who wouldn't understand what's happening, but you can tell she lived through a lot.
Also, why is it the church is always corrupt?

We have an invasion of zombies! It's striking how serious the comics suddenly gets from the usual cutesy style. Darkened frames full of decaying bodies, Ange suddenly looking like a scary and dangerous warrior, the desperation in the crowd scenes, after battle frames of battlefields full of bodies...
And then Ange getting into the demotic fog and half the page is just YOUARETHESAME YOUARETHESAME, wow.

Charlotte and Byaku are really likeable for villains, especially since they're the ones telling count Malta what all the readers are thinking.

I appreciate how nobody's actually that OP here. Belgrieve's tired and hurting all over after the fight, Ange's down from just a short contact with the demon... Makes their fight matter a lot more than if they'd just win everything easily.

That fight between Byaku and Sasha was scary. I was sure somebody's gonna die.

The fight between Byaku and Ange was also scary, though in a different way. Byaku seems to be a half-demon? Possessed? And most concerning, recognizing Ange as "the same".

This series is totally not going where I thought it's going.

I was certain Opal's father has strongarmed both her and the duke into marrying each other, while withholding that crucial information from everybody, so that they both feel the other side's actions are more predatory than they actually were; and that clearing up that misinformation will be the way to progress and face the real villains - which surely includes the father, and a few more we've already met on top of that.

Instead, Opal has channeled her inner villainess, taken over the whole estate, and cares not one bit for the duke, while a new strong candidate for a future love interest makes an appearance. We don't catch a sight of Opal's father, and no misunderstanding gets resolved whatsoever; if anything, it's all gotten worse.

If only the heroine was capable of asking "why do you behave as though I forced you to marry me, when my father arranged this marriage with no input from me whatsoever?"
