suspicious village.

A little departure from the LN today. Didn't Astrid kill the kelpie in front of everyone?

That is a remarkably clean "how to be a human" book that some adventurer brought with them down to the dungeon for some reason :P

I wonder if the book is a drop from the labyrinth or if another Lamia went out into the human world and published it for her future sisters?

It still feels like a fairly odd item to stock in a dungeon town unless you know exactly who your target audience is :P

@andyyy It looks like one of the chapters was not expired, that should be fixed now.

whoa! butterscotch has a normal neck now

also loving the new idiot character (Akane)

and I assume anyone reading the manga has read the Novel

I haven't!

anyway this is one of the most flawless series I've ever read. As in, even in my favorites, there will usually be some annoying trope that pops up now and then or some character that rubs me the wrong way, etc. But this has got almost none of that. Every character is good (excluding the bad guys), and it's overall super solid. Special mention to jiggle physics girl, where instead of being a point of annoyance it's mostly used to contrast with her chuuni disease to make it more amusing.

It's odd that I didn't notice this during pre-pub, but...
When the Raging Bison is chasing Tachie, is its facial expression a JoJo reference?

This volume’s cover was one that has always stuck out to me, because it was in the “recent digital releases” area of the JNC site for some time after I first got my membership. I always thought it looked really cool and I wanted to check out the series. Now that it’s on catchup, I finally could! (And it’s even currently in the “recent physical releases” area, which I find fitting.)

I can confirm V9 is my favorite cover of the series, but the content decidedly less so :c

Onwards to more volumes~

Oh, this is quite a bit different to the Manga. Am sad that we did not get to see Mukodah feed Erland though to demonstrate why he wouldn't have a hope to form a familial contract with a dragon.
The dragon obsession, however, is perfectly illustrated.
Poor disappointed Fel!
This was an interesting new take on how the war and the black smithing gods were introduced! I Love it!

Time for Julianne's arc finally!

Volume 4 - Chapter 6:

Page 13 ► Bottom Box ► 6BAH! ► Remove the 6.

Hooray. Lyse gets her man with everything all tied up perfectly in her moment of clarity! Now on to the next book where she forgets that moment of clarity and goes back to clutching her pearls and arguing with nobles.

Okay, that escalated very quickly at the end there.

@lovelybirdcherry
"The letter appears to have some kind of sorcery cast on it."
"Well... Zagan did tell me to give you his regards."
"Heh Heh Heh. I wonder what that means. Nephtoros,

The goddess is almost hypocritical in this part, wanting to keep her paladin from dying.

@mortcs Can't say how long it will be - that would be a spoiler for the manga!

On heights, in the LN, Astrid comments that Iris is "short" at 130cm, vs. her 190cm father. Guessing the manga is going full-on chibi for the main characters.

@mortcs Fixed. Sorry about that.

I guess they (dragons) really do like cars

Lol. Is this a literal translation or is it the translators that are cultured?

@sea_stones The staff on Discord have made it clear that the main story has finished, and that further continuation would possibly be dependent on sales. This manga unfortunately does not sell well, and the fact that the material does not have clean files means that it requires extensively more redraw work than a typical modern manga. JNC is business too, so if this series was bleeding their resources and barely anyone was purchasing it, I can understand why it's been placed on the backburner for the time being.

That is fair, I was not aware of this. (Not on the Discord.) I figured it wasn't a great seller, and even the translator said it was something he'd wanted to do. I'm grateful for the work they've done though!

So I'm a little nervous but haven't seen any recent developments. Just hoping things didn't get dropped. Any news to share?

I had another quick look at MU, and here's what I found this time:

Status in Country of Origin
13 Volumes (Complete)
7 Volumes - Shinsouban (Complete)

That red part wasn't there last time I checked. I guess JNC licensed/translated the Shinsouban version and that's why no volume 8 appeared in the schedule?

All very confusing.

And so, we meet King Leonhart. Sup, Your Maj?

Gremory is the best character 😆

I love that she gets a chance to shine in this chapter

Yase! I enjoy her a ton in the novels but seeing her antics in manga form has certainly been a treat.

Though what I'm really looking forward to seeing is how the manga will present a certain pistol packing goth lolita vampire. Just the reactions to her from everyone else should be delightful.
