What's the significance of Bonifatius having damaged that shrine at the Royal Academy many years ago? I hope it wasn't just mentioned as a gag.

I wonder if the shrine ever got fixed? Is this one of the reasons Bonifatius have less divine protection than Sylvester?

That could be why. When it was raised in P4V8 Bonifatius said it should be fixed by now then admitted he has never actually confirmed that but that it isn't visible in winter and Rozemyne said she'd check on it when she went to the Archduke Conference. Which is now.

@15Redstones said in [P5V3] How Laurenz Sees Rozemyne's Female Retainers - Author Blog Post:

@5eniorsohn it mentions Bertilde as a retainer, that hasn't happened yet, but is more or less expected to happen.

The release today mentioned Bertilde as a retainer. I don't recall if it's been brought up before now but it was treated as something that should be expected so I wouldn't really consider it much of a spoiler, if at all.

@zwabbit I guess I know what happens then.

I only read the published volumes (when the ebook is published) but it wasn't the hardest thing to predict that something would need to happen to Oswald + Wilifrieds other retainers.

I guess I can still look forward to seeing which drop makes the water spill 8-)

@15Redstones Poor, yes. But I'm pretty sure being "rude" had nothing to do with it. Per the text, Bezewanst had already made up his mind before Myne's parents spoke a single word.

If Myne had walked in there with somebody like Gustav as her father, the negotiations likely would have gone smoothly. But that wasn't really an option. Even Benno couldn't really get involved. Well, he could have made Myne let him adopt her and come himself, but Benno wasn't that interested in risking his own skin on a hail mary. Also, Myne would have refused that option. All this is more complicated because Myne only had less than two days to prepare, and she was laid up in bed on the day prior. Also, her parents were at work. In the end, there really wasn't any way to train her parents for the negotiations, and through circumstance and her own choices Myne couldn't come with substitute parents. And while it would have been hilarious to watch Bezewanst slowly realize that the two well-dressed adults in front of him were basically country hicks, putting them in clothes above their status wouldn't have helped for more than 30 seconds after opening their mouths. Thats why I don't think that Myne's parents are at fault, there was no way they could perform what they hoped to do with Bezewanst, who changed his mind the second he laid eyes on them. Benno's carefully laid plan was already useless before they could even speak.

Saw ditter stadium in the latest part 4 manga which made me double check the translation of its description.

    Treasure-Stealing Ditter:

We were standing in a circular stadium about as big as a baseball field, designed for highbeasts to be flown around inside.

    騎獣に乗って飛び交うことを前提にした楕円形の訓練場で、麗乃時代の野球場くらいの広さはありそうだった。

    This should be "an oval".

I'm trying to remember when I read Hiroshima; probably in Junior High?
It might have even been in grade school.
The Bantam Books paperback edition, the cover with the towering mushroom cloud.
    Fifty+ years ago either way.
    It would be worth rereading.
I'd get more out of it this time, one would think.
I didn't really have a context to place it within, although the Vietnam War was still going on at the time, but that's a drastically different situation.

Seeing as he's so "chivalrous" to ladies, perhaps Wilfried could work at a host club.

"Hi, my name is Wilfried. I'll be your host tonight. How may I serve you? May I hold your hand?"

“Oh my Zent my son is a prostitute.”

“What, no I’m just a Host, and we are just holding hands-“

    “WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU!?!”

    Scandalous! 😄

To add to what I said before here, upon a re-read of P3V5’s POV chapters I can confirm that Charlotte’s narration strongly implies that emulating Myne is overwhelmingly the reason for her general approach to solving conflict and dealing with others. She especially is struck by how Myne cared for Hasse and how much her retainers and the temple orphans adore her, inferring that this must be what people meant when they told her she must use her subordinates well, and from only then she resolves to be respected and loved like Rozemyne, but we all know that is absolutely not what said teachers would have meant. It is also during the same spring prayer trip that she begins to revere Myne like a goddess:

No longer did I feel any surprise, shock, awe, or envy toward Rozemyne. Those feelings had vanished, and all that remained was the urge to worship her.

Charlotte’s rule expressed in this chapter and others may as well as be WWRD: What Would Rozemyne Do?

Florencia may be a kinder soul than most, but she is still a top-tier noble with the common sense Ferdinand and co. has expressed, and only a mother Charlotte loves, not the object of worship. (Florencia of course already having fallen into similar feelings towards Rozemyne a year earlier following her saving of Wilfried the first time.)

@Derpster I basicly agree with you, because I think we mean the same thing, just using different words.

Just that your quote takes what I said a little bit out of context. I mean I litterally said before:

Ehrenfests policy is weirdo or unremarkable, there is nothing in between.

Making not a single noble (in this case Rihyarda) responsible for the cause, rather frame it as a quirk of the duchy we so often laugh about. And just like you and I said Rihyarda is the unfortunate one, so capable, of being tasked with those individuals that better not screw up, otherwise it makes waves that will get the wrong kind of attention, looking at you Wilfried and Oswald.

I remember it being mentioned at some point that the identity of someone's baptism mother is much more important than that of their birth mother, so I don't imagine he'd care that much since Rozemyne's baptism mother is Elvira.

Elvira said that but Rozemyne is the only example in the books. All other adopted children receive awful treatment from their non biological mothers.
